North East India, which is also known as the seven sisters is a place with abundance of natural beauty and a culture worth experiencing. It is an unexplored and untouched paradise of India and must be visited by all travel lovers. The scenic valleys and the many hilltops in this place along with the floating clouds and rising sun paint a beautiful picture which is difficult to believe unless experienced first-hand. Here are the 5 must visit cities in this paradise:

It is the capital city of Sikkim and is situated at an elevation of 1650m on the Himalayan range. The place has something for everyone. It offers modern amenities with spectacular nature and a variety of restaurants to dine at. One can take a romantic walk on the MG Marg or spend a night trying their luck in the casino. There is a bi-cable Zig-back ropeway to Tashi View Pointwhich gives the people an opportunity to get an aerial view of the city. It has flower festivals to celebrate the nature, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and Ridge Park for those who love sightseeing and various adventure activities like trekking and rock climbing.

2. Haflong, Assam

The only hill station in the state of Assam, Haflong is also known as white ant hillock and is situated at an altitude of 680m above the sea level. The city is known for its beautiful landscapes, Haflong hills, valleys, mountains and rich fruits and flowers. The place is very popular among nature enthusiasts and campers. It also has various adventure attractions such as paragliding and trekking. Haflong lake, lakeside resorts, Jatinga, Maibong and various other spots serve as great tourist attractions.

The capital city of Meghalaya, is situated at an altitude of 1496m above the sea level and is only 56kms away from Cherrapunjee which is the world's wettest place. The city is often referred to as the Scotland of the East because of the various waterfalls and hills that it is home to. The Shillong peak gives a beautiful view of the city. One can visit the Lady Hydari park where one can see blossoms of orchids and roses, the Elephant falls and also the Umiam lake which is made from the dam on Umiam river.

The town lies at a very unique place, it has Tibet lying on the north, Bhutan in the southwest direction and the Sela range to the east. It is situated at an altitude of 3048m above the sea level and has won the hearts of people with its beauty sacred touch. The Sela pass is the only high-altitude mountain pass in the world which is mortable. One must also visit the Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in Asia. The Gorichen peak provides the option of trekking to the adventurers while the Shonga-tser lake formed because of an earthquake is just perfect for the photographers.

5. Pelling, Sikkim

This city provides a plethora of opportunities for the travelers. One can view the snow-capped mountains of the Kanchenjunga apart from the various mountain range of Pandim, Kabru Dom, Koktang Frey and Narsing. There are adventure sports such as Kayaking, rafting on river Rangit, Bird watching and Mountain biking. During the Kanchenjunga festival one can enjoy the flower exhibition, costume stalls and the ethnic food.
