I agree. To me it is more about building the relationship with others than it is to try to pay your way to the trending area. When I first started I looked at trending a lot just so i could get an idea on what works. What I found was that many were there because they used the bots. I have since stopped looking there and payed more attention to content that I am interested in. I am finding this to me more fun and in turn building a community.
