Local Businesses Citing Their Physical Locations In Corresponding Virtual World Platforms
A new kind of SEO technique is being tested to help with the Web3 technology being used to boost local search engine optimization methods. One example is Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in Houston Texas ( https://www.petesduelingpianobar.com/downtown-houston/ ) and their having purchased at least their corresponding land plots (aka land parcels) in several of the Earth-based virtual land environments. Sometimes these are referred to as geospatial metaverse or geospatial virtual lands.
The company has multiple locations in Texas plus one in Illinois (near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport) and one in Nashville Tennessee. The Houston address is:
1201 Fannin St., Suite 310, Houston, TX 77002 - https://maps.app.goo.gl/386dK9rEzj3yQMJ49
On the company's Houston page, it mentions that it has virtual world properties by reading the following
"Web3 properties for our Houston location:
Metablox - https://metablox.co/blox/global/675
MyLand - https://www.myland.earth/landhtml/f48b83ef52bc45619eb8fe176cbe7f90.html
Smart Places - https://map.smart-places.io/explorer/placements/e051d4d7dea
SuperWorld - https://share.superworldapp.com/asset/YXIsNjZiNGQwYjA5ZjdmMTVmYTJlM2JlM2Jh?r=g8zMtu0T
As of now, the company is not doing much interactivity with these due to the lack of large numbers of active users in the Houston market. However, there are some things which can be done later in 2026:
- Pinning images and specific personalized memories of people having a good time at the Houston location. Those images & memories likely first would go on Metablox; and then pinned the land plot in SuperWorld. The same for SuperWorld could be for the "short" style videos of guests enjoying the live music and entertainment show with the pianists interacting with the crowd. A clickable link and the bottom of such a piece of pinned-to-the-map content could take the viewer to the mentioned Houston page or even the "buy tickets" page for Houston.
- MyLand has the corresponding metaverse environment, so the company one day may reward visitors who can't attend shows with a "mini-show" where the musicians will sing and interact with people in a 3D building placed on top of the existing building where the company runs its nighttime entertainment shows multiple times a week.
- For now, Smart Places won't offer much benefit other than to engage with any other businesses in the Houston area who have pinned their content inside the Smart Places map. If that changes then a future post can provide an update.
