I finally tried a real dumpling.

At the Asian Festival, I had the chance to eat dumplings. I always saw them on TV, but I'd never had the chance to eat a real one. Right in the middle of the Asian Festival, I came across a warm, freshly made dumpling, and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to try a truly Asian dumpling.

I thought they would have a pasta-like texture, like ravioli or something... but no, not at all. That's why I tried making them many times, and the recipes I saw on YouTube were for pasta, and they were nothing like pasta. They were soft, like a warm pillow with filling. I took a bite and wow... totally different from what I always imagined.

I ordered it stuffed with pork, something I don't usually eat, so it was a wonderful experience; it was delicious. And the best part: it wasn't just the flavor, it was the moment. One of those things you always want to try, and when you finally get it, it leaves a lasting impression on you, as it's something totally different from the flavors you've had since you were a child. I don't know if it was because it was so delicious or because it symbolized having finally tried it, but it made my day. I fulfilled a craving I'd had for years.
