What Nobody Tells You About Wearing a Short Glueless Wig in Summer

in #wig6 days ago

I initially thought wearing a short glueless wig in summer would be much more comfortable than with long hair, but after trying it out, there are pros and cons, and some things you just don't know beforehand.

First, the good points: it's definitely cool. Especially around the neck, there's no feeling of hair sticking to it, making me feel much more relaxed. It also doesn't stick to my back like long hair when I sweat, which I'm really happy about.

But problems arise as well.

The first is the "fit after sweating." In hot weather, the scalp sweats easily, and the glueless bob wig fixation mainly relies on the elastic band, which can cause it to slip slightly. A few times after walking around outside, I felt it had shifted a little bit backward, although not noticeably, I could feel it.

The second is the hairline's durability. In summer, there's more oil and sweat, and without extra styling, the hairline area gradually becomes less secure. This is especially noticeable when spending long periods outdoors, such as shopping or waiting for a bus.

Another subtle point is that colors appear more "realistic" in sunlight. This sounds like a good thing, but only if you've chosen the right hair color. I had a cool-toned black that looked great indoors, but in sunlight it appeared a bit grayish and looked unnatural. Later, I preferred colors with a touch of brown.

However, overall, I still prefer wearing a short glueless wig in the summer. As long as you pay a little attention to the secure fit, such as adjusting the elastic band or choosing a style that fits closer to the scalp, it's not a big problem.

Finally, there's no perfect choice, only what suits you best.
