No Windows 10 May 2019 Update for systems with low storage

in #windows5 years ago

Microsoft is tending to raise minimum requirements for the operating system with some Windows 10 updates. That's a tradition before Windows 10 was launched in July 2015: now, the "feature updates" are the most substantial updates to introduce new features if the new versions have been modified before the requirement has been changed. The following May 2019 update, version 1903, is also to be implemented. Windows 10 May 2019 In particular, Update will introduce new storage hardware requests. In the past, Windows 10 versions of 32-bit were only available with a minimum storage space of 16 GB, while 64-bit versions required 20 GB. The 32 GB requirements of both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems are updated with Windows 10 May 2019. The significant increase in space requests is largely linked to the new update system, which the next version will launch. In fact, the new update 7 GB of space is constantly devoted to installing the updates to ensure the installation of the new updates is not difficult. If the new feature prevents the "out of space" errors during operation on the one hand, on the other, the free disk space on systems with lower capacity storage units will be reduced considerably. Systems that are not compliant with new requirements will not be updated to Windows 10 May 2019 and will remain on version Windows 10 1809 for SKU Home, pro and pro for Workstations and l 11 May 2021 for enterprise and education SKU for Workstations until official support expires on 12 May 2020. The paid support is scheduled to end on January 9, 2024, with basic security updates arriving by January 9, 2029. On Windows 10 IoT, an embedded version of systems with usually extremely limited storage capability, the new requirements will never be implemented. No changes to Windows Server have also happened, since the latter SKU already required 32 GB of storage.
