No hate for the haters. No hurt from the haters.
I only talk with rational humans. At this point, “my nervous system” can detect crazy faster than the speed of sanity.
Your boy humble vagabond has always lived through interesting times. However, there have been no times that we can recall, where so few words, or ideas can cause so many to be so triggered so quickly and so thoroughly. In our experience, the most easily triggered humans, are the ones who have been most thoroughly indoctrinated. That is to say, those with the, “highest” education. It seems that every degree, or certificate makes the recipient more fragile to the ways of the world. Must be something in the curriculum.
Vocational cats and military, even women, and especially women who’ve been deployed, (I guess it depends on the branch of service too), are emotionally indestructible. They have little time or regard for assholes, but most of them can hold their own with opposing points of views, especially if those views make sense and are presented in a sincere way.
When rational humans declare that they “hate” something. I say, (it’s a reflex now), “Don’t hate.” These vessels are so sensitive, (at least mine is), that merely the thought of “hating” something has an effect. It’s not like I’m going to faint, or overdose on cortisol or anything, but there’s this feeling that starts deep down in the gut and moves upwards to the mouth. I can remember the rage in the ranks. My less disciplined self used to damn-near bite through my lower lip.

It has been nearly a decade now that we disciplined the vessel not to hate. We started by not using the word. It’s trickier than it seems. We have this word programmed into us as if it’s some kind of time bomb. Like every time a human says, “the H-word,” there are at least 60 seconds shaved off of our life span. One million extra cells in the body die every second that hate infects the vessel, maybe more. Plus when those “hate hormones” are released the vessel has a response and must filter and eliminate them. This can take up to an hour in the case of cortisol, which, (if I remember correctly), settles in fat cells when it’s not completely eliminated.
Cortisol. Elevated levels can lead to heightened stress, which may contribute to feelings of irritability or hostility.
Adrenaline. This hormone prepares the body for quick reactions in stressful situations, which can amplify aggressive feelings.
I fully expect a lot of my hair-trigger, highly educated, (indoctrinated) friends to age an extra ten years by January of 2029. Either that, or they will clue in to some of the “secrets” we’ve been trying to subtly reveal to them for the past decade. (They just keep getting mad at us though.)
We’re not going to go on too far with this. We’ve learned our lessons well. But it’s not only about learning the lessons. It’s about practicing the strategies, and dealing with the results of having successfully practiced those strategies.
