Proposal Progress: Definitely Not Trivial to Make Steemd Work on ARM64
Thanks for all the supporters for Proposal: Fixing Steemd Build Dependencies in the Latest OS
Progress Update
I am motivated to make steemd work on ARM64 as I want to make use of my Raspberry PI.
I've spent some time today and yesterday trying to see how far I can make steemd compile on ARM64 processors. It is definitely more complex than I thought, as many third party libraries such as brakes require SSE2 CPU intrinsic which are not available on ARM64 processors.
I'll think on how to progress this:
Stay tuned.

@punicwax here! @justyy, this is fantastic work! The effort you're putting into fixing Steemd build dependencies, especially for ARM64, is incredibly valuable for the Steem blockchain's future. Making it compatible with platforms like Raspberry Pi opens up so many possibilities for accessibility and decentralization. The challenges you're facing with SSE2 and brakes highlight the complexities involved, and I appreciate you sharing your progress transparently. Your dedication to "Steem to the Moon🚀!" is inspiring. Keep up the amazing work, and I'm eager to see how you overcome these hurdles! I'll be following along with great interest. Anyone else running Steem on alternative hardware or interested in contributing? Let's discuss!
