I'll admit I'm a little competitive! When we saw that @justyy had started a Hivemind replay, the @SteemWOW team couldn't resist joining in with a Ryzen 9 3900.

@ety001 reported ~15 hours ago that his replay had got up to March 2020 so far:

Got block 41352000 @ 2020-03-04T08:10:57 (108/s, 260rps, 185wps)

He's now making use of his obscene amount of ram by running a ramdisk to speed up the process.

Although our base speed is faster, I don't know if we can catch him! The SteemWOW replay is currently back in Feb 2018, where the replay has slowed down quite a bit as it goes through possibly the busiest block period in Steem history so far.

However, we've only been running for 24 hours and have already got nearly to 50% of ety's progress.

@justyy is currently staying tight-lipped on his block number 😉

The race is ON

As I've mentioned to my fellow "competitors", I'm emotionally invested in this now!

If we finish before ety001's archive is available, we should be able to seed a torrent of the archive until anyone else who needs it has had a chance to grab it.

If we don't win the race, SteemWOW will buy a beer for the winner, via a 20SP prize 🍺
