Word Poetry Challenge #13 : Fears
Hello, everyone, I hope you enjoy reading this poem! This will be submitted for @jassennessaj's Word Poetry Challenge featuring the word Fears.
Fears
You strike from behind our backs
And stab us with your knife
A shapeless figure that lacks
The joy of breathing and life
Then every phantom seems real
Nightmares, they turn all so clear
Every turn, you make us feel
Alone in the dark and queer
But rejoice not, for you'll be lost
You are nothing but a thought
A thought triumphant almost
That will sooner fade away
For courage and light of day
Will chase you, O Fear away
