If I were a community curator, I would focus on originality, consistency, and real engagement to ensure fair and transparent support for all members.

  1. I am a curator right now. I vote for: art (creativity, skills...), comments, and those (countries) on this platform that are frequently ignored.
I do believe there's plenty of room for that (just not enough voting power), since most SC teams always vote for the same people and posts and real creativity (visual and words) is ignored. Unfortunately, many don't care. I had that experience yesterday as I was asked by someone who wants to be a curator. I invested a lot of time in explaining. The easiest way (just clicking and deals made) doesn't take as much time as the way "True Colours" works.

  2. If I don't work, I try to be on Steemit in the morning and at the end of the day. In average, I post every other day. I think that's enough since I have more interest.

  3. No idea what you are talking about.

Greetings Wakeupkitty

Having a clear idea of the topics you want to support is an excellent way to approach curation. It's true, there's a lot of good content out there that deserves support.

Personally, I've had the opportunity to team up with different users, and I've seen how some curators give votes to up to 5 users in just one minute, which seems absurd to me, unless there's prior review and support from their personal account.

Being on Steemit can be a necessity for many users. I know you enjoy being on the platform, even though you sometimes have disappointments. Nothing is perfect in this life :).

The Cur8 games are entertaining:

Thank you for taking the time to answer the questionnaire and generate a thread of comments. Have a great weekend!

It is indeed astonishing how some people vote, but I know that the people I have always worked with do their homework and, on the days when they are not curators, also search the entire platform for suitable posts and comments to reward and/or nominate. Then you can indeed give all the upvotes in an hour, so to speak, at least if another curator doesn't beat you to it, because that happens too.
I always have a long list of links ready when it's my turn, and I can't even reward many of these links, simply because there isn't enough SP.
However, I have read everything, partly because I almost always comment, either with my own account or with that of the Steem curator. I make that effort, and that is something I find lacking in many curators. Total disinterest and, even worse, not even knowing what is in the post/text or in the photos.

I also notice this with people who ask me to join a team. Demotivated people. They want quick results and to cash in. They refuse to read up on things, can't say why they want to be curators, don't know what my team votes for, don't want to consult, don't want to be there every day, can't step in in case of an emergency, vote much less than they should (the self-vote can only be 10% of the votes, so you can't give yourself a 100% upvote and then stop when VP is 90 and let the next team member vote) and so on.

Being a team means working as a team and not everyone doing their own thing. It also means sticking to agreements and not leaving it to the rest to figure it out or just staying away and letting the rest of the team find out by accident. I've experienced that twice as well. Then I'm crazy enough to do the work while someone else reaps the rewards and glory (thank you very much).
I don't know whether to call it disappointing or exhausting, maybe it's both?

I find it astonishing how people interact with each other. The deals, nominating each other, accusing each other of nominating partners and then joining a team with someone who was accused of that not so long ago. Then we're all not doing well and... it's noticeable. Not just to me.

I like it here and if I stick to what I enjoy, there are no disappointments (except when it comes to the hours I can spend drawing and painting).

I wish you a great weekend too and hope more will read and reply in your questions.
