💧 Competition 78: WATER DROPS 💧.

in WORLD OF XPILAR21 hours ago

This is my entry for the “78 Drops of Water” contest, organized by @xpilar and supported by the #WORLD OF XPILAR community.

In Venezuela, it’s known as “bella a las once”; in other countries, it’s called “amor de un rato,” “mañanitas,” or “once horas,” and its scientific name is Portulaca grandiflora. It’s sun-tolerant. Its charm lies in the fact that it blooms mid-morning; its flowers are short-lived, but the plant will always have flowers because it produces them every day. In my quest to capture water droplets, as luck would have it, I was able to take a photo when it opened, but I had to take the other photos late in the afternoon, when the flower begins to close as its cycle comes to an end. But what’s truly worth seeing is how the droplets of this vital liquid cling to the surface. This “beautiful at eleven” flower is very popular in Venezuelan gardens, especially the fuchsia-colored variety.

¡Holaaa Blanca!🤗
