A Peaceful Rainy Day

On a rainy day, the sky remains cloudy. A flash of lightning is seen and a noise of thunder is heard. Sometimes heavy wind blows accompanying a shower of rain. A rainy day is taken by different people different way. On such a day the day labourers cannot work, officials can't go to the office. But school goer's get a golden opportunity having a rainy day. On a rainy day, they feel very happy as they don't need to go to school. They pass the day by playing indoor games like hide and seek, ludo, chess etc. But the poor have to pass a very miserable life on a rainy day. Because on a rainy day, they can't earn their bread and butter and so they have to starve. On a whole a rainy day is not expected by most of the people.

Last week, I experienced a beautiful rainy day in my city. The sky was dark, and the sound of rain felt very peaceful. I stayed at home and enjoyed a cup of hot tea. It reminded me of my childhood memories during rainy days. Although the roads were muddy, the weather felt fresh and calm. In the end, it became one of my favorite days of the week.
