I remember standing on the shore of the Gulf of Finland then, and the air was still winter-sharp, but the sun already promised spring. The ice on the water was incredibly beautiful, such huge, layered blocks, as if someone had specially carved them. Sun rays broke through the clouds, creating those stunning "god's fingers" in the sky. It was especially captivating how the light played on the surface of these ice shards, each crystal seeming to light up with its own tiny flame. It was quiet, only the faint creak of the ice sometimes broke the peace. This was one of those moments when you realize how nature can be both harsh and incredibly beautiful. I just stood and watched, trying to remember every detail of this fading winter landscape.
I love photography. I spend time in nature, walking around the city. And I often take pictures when I see something interesting.
