I am disappointed to the owner of the dialysis clinic which I am getting my dialysis treatments because he will just fix the aesthetics of the building and maybe the roofing as well but not its current elevation which is prone to getting submerged in flood water when the weather would turn to get wet and rainy.

The whole building including the hospital beside it is just built over a marsh land and is lower to the elevation of the road in front of it. The thing is that when there are heavy rainfalls, it gets mushy now around the dialysis clinic building and if the rainfall gets worse, the flooring of the clinic gets submerged.

It was not like that in the former times, it was only happening now and the cause of it is the controversial airport being built from my province's coastline. Apparently that reclaimed area just blocked the outlets of the rivers and streams. Now it is causing the clogging effect and it raises the flood water level because the rivers and streams would not get out that easy anymore.

It is the reason why there are so many areas which are not experiencing flooding are now experiencing it while other areas gets submerged because of the high tide which was not the cause before.

My point is that the new airport will not go away, it is there permanently and will just continue to block the free flow of the mouths of the rivers and streams coming from the land. It essentially dammed the outlets of the rivers and streams and choked them which again causes the rovers to swell when there is a widespread rainfall which floods our province alone.

It is the reason on why I want to purchase a tall vehicle, I mean something we can freely use which have a high ground clearance so that when the streets gets flooded again, we can still be able to pass through without worrying too much about the transmission or the engine getting affected in the process. But I still have to give it a few thoughts because I have to consider on the price of fuel in the future, its maintenance cost which can be higher for pickup trucks which I was eying to purchase, or if it will be better to purchase an EV with a lower maintenance cost.

Anyway, with regards to my dialysis clinic, one thing is for sure, it will still get submerged in flood waters if it rains hard for a few consecutive days. It parking lot will still get a pool of water at the same time and will definitely cause inconveniences for the patients and relatives of the patients just because the owner of the said dialysis clinic doesn't want to spend much for a much needed elevation of the flooring.

Hello friend this is really concerning because a dialysis clinic should be a safe and conducive place for treatment not one at risk of flooding. Renovating without fixing the elevation feels like ignoring a major problem. You are already go through a lot, you shouldn’t deal with this too and I pray the owner reconsiders and makes proper changes before it leads to serious complications.
