The amazing pictures and events in Søgne's history. On perceiving of being the youngest King of Shooters in Norway ever since; Why Tor Harald Lund is amazing, and how he put Søgne on the map in 1987!
You know, there are three great events in the history of Søgne, where we are loving and appreciating many people, and we just want to love and to admire the people we are knowing there, and there three events in Søgne in history are; You know, our famous author Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson has had a relation to this village since his father Peder Bjørnson was parish priest here in the period 1852 to 1869, and this made traces and memories in Bjørnstjerne and he was an amazing author for Norway, and he also reached and got the Nobel Prize in literature, and that was in 1903. And Henrik Ibsen did not get it, and he was too depressed and too negative in some of his writings, and therefore he did not get this prize as the prize was and still is. And the family Bjørnson settled at Søgne Old Vicarage, and this is why Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson is famous and related to Søgne to any times anywhere where he was while being alive in his life, and he has made traces for the stories and the histories of time, and this is both within and out of time.
And the second story of Søgne is the wedding of Steven Rockefeller and Anne Marie Rasmussen in Søgne in 22 August 1959, and this was incredible and great for the families involved giving something great to Søgne and to the families around. And Steven Rockefeller was engaged in the company called for Standard Oil in the United States, and hence he was famous and very rich, and there was money on every place that he put his foot when being engaged in USA and in Norway. And Steven Rockefeller also managed to get the world press coming to Søgne in 1959. He was second eldest son of the United States' vice president Nelson Rockefeller. And today he is professor emeritus in religion by Middlebury College in Vermont. The Rockefeller-family is one of the United States most known families. Steven Rockefeller has worked much with education, and this includes working efforts within the United Nations and their systems there and here. So, you know religion, that is what our beliefs are, and whether there are forces around and outside the human brain and out scope of framing and making imaginations when we are here as we are. The wedding between Steven Rockefeller and Anne Marie Rasmussen was a great event in the media and the media channels. Andt the wedding was happening from the main church in Søgne, and it was covered by the world press around in the world, including great newspapers from both Norway and the United States. And Anne Marie had earlier worked as au pair in the Rockefell-family in the United States, and this is how Anne Marie met her man Steven Rockefeller when being in the life as she was, and the love and its history always start some places where we are when being around.
And the third story getting Søgne on the map, was that history about Tor Harald Lund, and about being the King of the Shooters in 1987 in Steinkjer, just being 19 years old. And when being this king, Tor Harald Lund was the youngest shooter of being the king of the shooters of any times anywhere in Norway, and today – in 2025 – he is not the youngest shooter any more, but this story is amazing, and he managed to put Søgne on the map, and he said that this was a great event, and that he was pleased and enjoyed to come home after that, and the village Søgne was really in shock and it was very great for this place when Tor Harald Lund did what he did in 1987. And it was really many people in Søgne when Tor Harald Lund came home to his home village with warmth and friendly relations, and they made a party for Tor Harald, and the mayor Bjarne Nesheim was holding a speech, and the welcome was enormous when being where he was.
Tor Harald Lund has a family today in Søgne, where there core in family is Tor Harald and his married wife Mette Elisabeth Finnestad, being the queen of the shooters in 2006. And Tor Harald Lund is car mechanic by profession, and therefore he is reluctant and clever and wise and intelligent in treating how cars should be taken care of when being here as he is, and he works with customers and strategies and environments, just as the life is coming, being and leaving while we are here as we are when being here. And Tor Harald Lund ended by getting 338 points totally in the team of the shooters being in the King's Final in 1987, and we congratulate him with the victory, and this congratulation is there ever and forever in the life.
