My kitty Coma 😸

Cats are mysterious and strange creatures, also somewhat extravagant, and they show it through their favorite sleeping spots.

My little cat Coma—short for her real name, "Comadreja" (weasel), because when she arrived, my mother said she looked like a weasel, and the name stuck—has chosen the fridge as her favorite place to nap.

Despite having couches, beds, a sofa, and a long list of other options at her disposal, she has claimed that spot as her domain. I suppose it's because it's cool, especially now that we're in the harshest part of summer, or maybe it's the gentle vibration of the motor.

I'll never know exactly what she likes about that place, but I've gotten used to seeing her take her many naps there.
