Soggy ☔️

For birdwatchers, rain in the UK can be a blessing. Showers refresh woodlands, wetlands, and gardens, encouraging birds to become more active as they search for food. Earthworms and insects often emerge after rainfall, attracting species such as robins, blackbirds and thrushes.

Rain also creates beautiful reflections on lakes and rivers, making wildlife photography more rewarding. While waterproof clothing is essential, a rainy day can offer quieter birdwatching spots with fewer people around. Currently just one dog walker is ruining my peace and quiet. The increased bird activity makes wet weather surprisingly enjoyable for nature enthusiasts.
