The night was strangely silent, the moon was covered in gray clouds and the waves of the sea were crying on the shore. At that heavenly moment, I set foot on that forbidden island. The name of the island makes fishermen's eyes widen when they hear it. People say that there is a light floating in the night, but it is not fire, but a strange creature. Some say it is an alien, some say it is a death demon, some say it is the curse of an abandoned star. I am not afraid of these stories.

But the incident of the scientist who mysteriously disappeared three days ago has drawn me here. I came to find the truth. As soon as I stepped onto the island, the wind stopped as if someone was watching my arrival from afar. As soon as I lit the torch, I saw strange circular swirls on the sand, not human or animal. I was moving forward when suddenly an invisible force was born across the sky. It was moving forward, consuming the entire air, then a huge luminous shape appeared through the darkness.

I held my breath and stared at its body as if it were a broken constellation. The bone structure was strange, its eyes were deep red and its body was surrounded by a blue-violet glow, but there was a different sadness hidden in its presence. Which was heavier than fear. Suddenly it spoke, its voice as if it had been tired for ages and sounded completely tired. Why are you here, man? I said in a trembling voice. I came to look for a lost man. Everyone says you killed him?

The creature was silent for a while, its eyes burned, but not in anger, but in pain. I didn't kill anyone, he said, humans took him. To test me and capture him. I went to save him, but I'm a monster, so no one believes me. My heart suddenly felt heavy. I saw that the one we fear as a monster is actually the last child of his own lost world. He was once a scientist on his planet. When the planet of disaster was destroyed, he survived alone. Then he came to Earth and took refuge on this island. I said, humans have misunderstood you, I will tell everyone the truth.

The creature lowered its head for the first time as if trying to believe. There is still someone in the world who listens without getting scared. So the light around it slowly started to fade. The wind started blowing again. Ahead, there were only shadows and the sound of waves. Before saying goodbye, he only said, those people call monsters are often the most alone. I turned off the lamp before the dawn light. As the first golden rays of the sun fell on the sea, it seemed that the biggest truth in this world was that all the terrible things are not that bad, sometimes they are just misunderstood creatures.

Even now, when I look at that island, I feel like it might be watching me from the shadows. It stands calmly, holding the memory of its lost star in its chest, the last lone guardian of that world.
