Winning Habits Of Champions

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 months ago

A champion is not solely defined by their recognition or the amount of trophies in their cabinet. They are actually defined by what happened even long before the recognition; the daily habits that built them up. When these habits are repeated over time, they become the foundation upon which their successes will be built. There are habits which may be invisible to others, but hold so much power to determine success. Just like a house, you may not see the foundation, but it is what is keeping it standing. In the same way, there are habits that are part of what will position someone towards the path of championship, and we shall take a look at them.

The first habit of champions that we will look at is intentionality. Champions know what they want and go for it. They do not just sit and wait for something or someone to motivate them, they build their own day with purpose. They know that success is not a one-time event, but a continuous process. They also know that they are responsible for how their life will go. By having this in mind, all their actions, habits, routines, etc, will contribute towards the bigger picture. It is intentionality that helps you to understand that success, most times, is not automatic, rather it is built block-by-block through your choices and actions.

Another winning habit of champions is consistency. You do not only put in actions towards your goal when you feel like, but you have to be continuous about it. There are some days that you may not even feel like taking a step, but still you have to take that step. Just to let you know; consistency is favoured better than intensity. If you want to build muscles for example, you will understand the power of consistency. It is not about bench-pressing 150kg at once and then become inactive for long. Even someone who does 25kg daily for an extended period of time will build more muscles than you. That is the power of consistency. Learn to stay on the course of your goal even when challenges come.

The next winning habit of champions that we will look at here is continuous learn and self-improvement. Each new day will present with new requirements. What you knew yesterday may not be enough to face the challenges of today, so you need to constantly improve on yourself, on your skills, on your knowledge, and update yourself. Do not think that you have arrived, but always keep growing and keep developing on yourself. There is almost something new to learn, and there is also something to improve on. Try to keep evolving and do not stagnate yourself in one method or one level.

Another very important habit of champions that we will consider here is positive thinking. How you think will determine not just how you speak but also how you act. Guard your heart very well and only allow positive thoughts to be conceived in it. Trust me, your mind has the power to train other parts of your body including your skills. If you think positively, you will naturally see yourself acting it out. If you think possibilities, you will see yourself taking daring steps and taking risks. But if you think negativity, you will stagnate yourself because you will not feel the need to take any step because of the fear of negative outcome. You need to condition and pattern your mind after what you want your life to become.

The last habit of champions that we will talk about here is gratitude and reflection. When you take time to reflect and acknowledge your little wins and your progresses, you will be motivated to do even more. By reflection, you will know what is working, what needs to be improved on, what needs to let go, what needs more attention. This is part of what creates cycles of continuous growth. Remember that winning is not just a function of chance, luck, or talent alone, but it has a lot to do with the choices that you make and how you have modelled your life to be by your daily habits. Build a good habit today that will build you up tomorrow. Always remember that you are solely responsible for a major part of the outcome of your life.
