From Bedridden To Standing Tall

‎If I can recall precisely, as of 2021, I was diagnosed with hypertension. It was a sudden hit in my early 30s. I was bedridden for months and even had symptoms of a stroke. I was so scared when I read about what happens to people with such an ailment. I googled the internet almost every day, seeking a solution to my health issue.
‎

‎After doing my research, I knew that I had to be on constant medication. But I didn't only rely on drugs. I exercised regularly, slept more, and changed my diet, just so I could get myself back up. It was a tough journey, but I was determined to get better.
‎

‎After several months, I could walk around again. I started working to pay off the debts I had incurred to get myself medication. I was glad that I could use my body again. Here are a few things I do to stay fit, sound, and healthy: I take my medication regularly, exercise regularly, eat a balanced diet, and get enough sleep.
‎

‎I thank God for science and technology. I thank God for discoveries and inventions. I would have been dead and forgotten now if I hadn't taken action. I'm grateful for the medical breakthroughs that have helped me manage my condition. I'm also grateful for the support system that helped me through the tough times.
‎

‎Today, I'm learning to live with hypertension, and I'm doing my best to stay healthy. It's not easy, but I'm managing. I'm proof that with the right mindset, support, and medical care, it's possible to live a fulfilling life with a chronic condition.
