Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi since May 2022. He is considered one of the most prominent leaders in the Gulf and the Arab world in recent decades, thanks to his comprehensive vision for development, his security and military role, and his leadership in transforming the UAE toward a knowledge-based and sustainable economy.

🔹Early Life and Education:

Mohamed bin Zayed was born into the ruling Al Nahyan family as the third son of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE and its first president.
He received his education in the schools of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi until the age of 18, then joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom in 1979, where he was trained in armored warfare, helicopter flying, parachuting, and field leadership.

🔹Career and Positions:

In November 2003, he was appointed Deputy Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and in November 2004, he became Crown Prince, and was named Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

In January 2005, he became Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, where he directly supervised the country’s military and strategic development.

On May 14, 2022, he was elected President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi following the death of his brother, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Under his leadership, he has led numerous developmental, economic, and educational initiatives, marking a major transformation in the UAE’s regional and international role.

🔹Vision and Reforms:

Mohamed bin Zayed is known for a vision that focuses on security, economic diversification, and sustainability. He once said:

“There will come a time, after fifty years, when we load the last barrel of oil… The question is: will we be sad? If we invest today in the right way, I think we will celebrate that moment.”

He also established the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, which supports environmental and wildlife protection projects across more than 150 countries.
On the social level, he has worked to raise the quality of education, create partnerships with global universities, and promote innovation in Abu Dhabi.
