The Warmth of Mother’s Embrace: A Journey from Insolence to Gratitude
Are you stopping yourself at one point to reflect about all your parents’ sacrifice & all they went through to raise us?
But how many times do you drift away from appreciating these aspects and focus more on your journey?
Here’s what I remember from those days as well as I can – things to cherish.
Let me start with this list of childhood memories:
My kids, when growing, also had their moments too. Like this time when he started sitting by my mom, resting his head against my chest asking for some pocket money to buy some sweets & treats.
Now tell me how did you feel then… Did you know your mom was exhausted after work, maybe didn’t even want anything except you enjoying yourself? You gave him pocket money as she loves him unconditionally.
But did you give a thought why she was willing to do that? Or did you just forget about her feeling, because you knew deep inside she’ll say yes anyway? Probably not! 😅
I wasn't aware either of my behavior until recently, but I'm trying hard to improve now 🙂 #parenting101 #lifelessons #mumandkid #children #momsofmylife #parentsandkids
We all tend to forget the most important aspect about childhood. We tend to take every single moment of our childhood for granted forgetting how much love our parents put into everything! Every action done by our parents towards our betterment comes with an underlying motive. They sacrifice countless dreams to give us an opportunity to make ours. When we grew up, most kids move on from being dependent on our parents' support and enter the world full of struggle, challenges, and hardships. So much so that even sweat drops down our faces when we work hard.
Only now do we realize the extent of hardship that each of our parents underwent silently throughout their lives. And finally, only when we taste the bitterness of loneliness, disappointment, failures, etc., do we know exactly what our parents went through before. That’s why when I look back on my past with gratitude and nostalgia, I wonder how I could make my Mother proud and someday I am hoping to be able to thank her sincerely.
The first thing which happened was, my understanding deepened of how great is the love of the mother towards their children. With all these realizations started changing me inside out. I know there were times when you were just too foolish and reckless but today thanks be to God, you are growing up gradually.
You used to think life was easy but as you have been through many things, you realized that life is really expensive and if you want to make your mark then saving comes into play. I am sure even right now, you still cherish the way your Mom used to dress you and take care of you. But today, all I can say is that I wish for the same kind of treatment to happen to my Mom someday.
When your parents grow old and when you see them going through various hardships day after day and year after year. There must come a point where you will start feeling grateful about the fact that they have given birth to you and brought you up despite being poor themselves and facing all sorts of problems and difficulties during their lives. So much so that today I feel that if there is anything I want for my Mom is only her health and happiness forever. And as far as possible she should lead a life full of peace, joy and satisfaction without having to face worries and pains.
Today also sitting here alone recalling those days. Here around us all we can think of is just the memories from the past.
Even though today we live amongst a whole lot different things than our ancestors did.
But we never experienced their problems and difficulties, somehow I miss that sense of being there next to Mom's chest, the smell of her clothes, the touch of her hand etc.
This was never going to change any time in my life. It will ever be with me.
Mother, Thank You!
For everything that we have been through together.
You are what made me become who I am today.
My love for you knows no bounds! Everything about me as I am right now and will ever be is because of your unconditional love for me!
