The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

in WORLD OF XPILAR3 days ago

"Seven Nation Army" is a song by The White Stripes, released in 2003 as part of the album Elephant. Written by Jack White, the song is characterized by its main riff, which many mistake for a bass line but is actually a guitar riff using pitch shift, giving it a deep and distinctive sound.

The lyrics speak of isolation, paranoia, and inner struggle. Although its message is abstract and open to interpretation, the song wasn't intended as a sports anthem, but over time the riff was adopted by fans of football and other sports, especially after the 2006 World Cup, becoming one of the most recognizable chants in the world.

"Seven Nation Army" won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Rock Song and became the band's most iconic work. It is one of the few riffs of the 21st century that is already considered a classic and a cultural touchstone that has transcended rock to become part of global popular culture.
