Greetings everyone!

Welcome to week 5 of our learning challenge it already week 5 since we started learning about appetizers and everything about it types am glad I took this course which I have greatly benefited, I appreciate @suboohi for her transparency in all the 5 weeks of teaching thank you for your detailed and understandable demonstration.
Now this is the presentation of my practical.

What do you understand by Fried Appetizers?(1 mark )

Fried appetizer are small portions of dish which are specifically prepared using hot oil.

The main goal is to cook eather by pan frying ,deep-frying or shallow frying until a golden brown and crispy texture is archived, this will now be served in small portions to stimulate appetite.

Make any one fried appetizer from given recipes in detail step by step with pictures . You can add filling or ingredients of your choice too . (7 marks)

Ingredients for samosa

• All purpose flour 50 grams

• melted butter 6 teaspoon

• Cummins seed half teaspoon

• salt half teaspoon

In a bowl I added all purpose flour, salt and cumin seeds and mixed to combine, then in the same bowl I poured in the melted butter and started kneading.

• shredded fish

• pepper

• seasoning cube

• salt

• olive oil

I heated up a pan poured in a very small quantity of olive allowed it hot then I go in with the shredded fish stirred fried for few seconds then I added pepper and seasoning with salt fried till the fish changes abit to become brownish and the filling was ready.

Now back to the dough, I molded it into 4 preferred sizes the I rolled each molded dough flat.

I placed my filling right in the middle of the dough then I took the dough from the end and cover to the other end.

I used a fork to match the ending part to seal it properly also leaving a beautiful print on the dough as design, frying with oil might make my dough puff and open so I used the fork to poke were I have the feeling leaving some tiny ventilation on it now the four dough is ready for frying.

In a pan I poured in olive oil enough to fry the four dough allowed it hot before dropping my dough in it and fried, turn over fried the other side till both sides become golden brown with a crispy texture.

I know about few fried appetizer which are :

Egg roll, battered fried fish, fried funnel cake, meat pie, and crispy chicken.
The above mentioned are some of the fried appetizer am very familiar with sometimes I buy them on my way to work or make them at home to satisfy my cravings.

4-With whom do you want to share this delicious appetizer you made?(1 mark)

I have a little friend about age 7 whom I always and will still continue to share my delicious appetizer with, for the past 4 weeks of school break she has always come around she now knows that monday is a start of new week for learning challenge and always asked the name of the dough am making for the week, she also assist in the kitchen and she give the most honest review ever so yes I shared my appetizer with her this week.
