No Mercy Championship Wrestling (Season 1, Episode 3)
[T.J. Perkins and Ember Moon are injured]
No Mercy Championship Wrestling
St. Louis, Missouri (Scottrade Center)
[JBL, Jeremy Borash, and Dutch Mantel on commentary]
The show opens with Pete Dunne coming out to a chorus of boos. Dunne goes on to cut a promo. He says that he is the baddest man on the planet and everyone’s worst nightmare. Before he can speak further, he is interrupted by Dean Ambrose who is bothered by Dunne referring to himself as the “baddest man”. This doesn’t go on for long though as they are interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Rhodes goes on to air his own grievances. This devolves into a shouting match between all three until they are all interrupted as William Regal’s music hits. Regal announces the fans were promised a #1 Contender’s Match for tonight and they will get it, as Dean Ambrose will face Cody Rhodes in the main event to determine who faces Pete Dunne at War Zone, NMCW’s first iPPV, which will be at Busch Stadium. Dean goes to shake hands with Cody, but Rhodes spurns the attempt.
Match 1: Paige vs. Santana Garrett
The two take a moment to size each other up, but Santana goes for the collar and elbow tie up. The two engage in a much more technical bout, with a few near falls. JBL makes some snide remarks regarding the controversy around Paige as of late, which no one really seems to go out of their way to shut down. Mantel though, brings commentary back to the match at hand. The action comes to the outside and Santana teases she might use a weapon, though Borash is quick to point out that this is a normal match, a rarity in NMCW. Garrett brings Paige back into the ring, but is caught off guard and walks into a side kick and goes immediately goes for Ram-paige. She hits the move flawlessly and gets the pinfall victory.
Winner: Paige by pinfall
A vignette airs. It shows an open cell with a bunch of orderlies that have been incapacitated. All else that appears are the words "Coming soon to NMCW...Psych Ward." as the clip fades to black.
Ronda Rousey is walking backstage, only to be stopped by Gail Kim, Brandi Rhodes, Jade, Naomi, and Santana Garrett (who has hauled ass to the backstage area after her loss, feeling embarrassed) demanding a real opportunity to shine in NMCW. Ronda says since they have taken this unprofessional attitude, they will be dealt with later, but that will have to wait since she announces every woman in NMCW will be in a Battle Royal to determine who will be facing Taeler Hendrix at War Zone. She ends her statement by hoping that Taeler’s challenger (as well as Taeler) will bring this Division to new heights. Taking this approach a bit literally, Rousey says the match at War Zone will be a Ladder Match.
Match 2: Rockstar Spud issues an open challenge
Rockstar Spud enters to a fairly mixed reaction, he cuts a brief promo about opportunities and while he failed to take advantage of an opportunity in his first match, he assured that this would not be the case this time. He once again offers an open challenge to anyone in the locker room.
Petiot runs to the ring, while Spud exits in a panic. Taking a minute to collect himself, Spud eventually gets back into the ring and the match begins. Spud does the typical heel tactics like retreating into the ropes, using the ref as a shield, but Petiot (getting frustrated) pulls Spud out from behind the ref and throws him across the ring. Petiot goes for a running knee to knock Spud into the corner from there, Clement hits a superplex and takes a moment. Petiot then picks Spud back up and hits a trio of suplexes and gets the pinfall victory.
Winner: Petiot by pinfall
Backstage:
Cody and Brandi Rhodes are in the back. Stephen Amell comes from off screen and the three have a bit of a reunion, but Amell looks a little off-put, given what has happened with Rhodes as of late. In fact he brings up what he did to Ken Shamrock. Cody gives a small sneer. Cody then questions Amell's loyalty and if he "has what it takes to succeed." Amell affirms his alliance and they talk about Rhodes’ match against Dean Ambrose later on and asks Amell to be in his corner along with Brandi. He agrees but before they cut away, Rhodes is blind-sided by Ken Shamrock. Stephen takes the interviewer and Brandi out of the way while Ken is throwing Cody all over the place. Shamrock throws Cody around quite a bit and even tries to choke him with an electric cord. Shamrock is pulled off of Rhodes by security, but Ken leaves Rhodes on the ground in a mess of cables and the backstage lighting equipment. Medical help is called for Rhodes.
Match 3: #1 Contender's Battle Royal to determine who faces Taeler Hendrix at War Zone (All women on the NMCW roster excluding Taeler Hendrix and Ember Moon)
Taeler Hendrix comes down to join the NMCW commentary team. JBL just short of literally bends over backwards to kiss her ass about how great she is and how the NMCW fans should be lucky to have her here. Taeler adoringly responds while Borash tries to reel the two back in. JBL: "Such a buzzkill, JB."
The remaining women of the NMCW roster make their way down to the ring and we are under way, almost immediately Marti Belle is thrown out by Iveliesse Velez. Now chaos ensues as Taeler watches on. All of the commentary members are talking about Havok and how she has the best attitude. JBL specifically talks about the match between Hendrix and Havok later on. After this, a mass team up in the corner happens consisting of Mickie James, Deonna Purrazzo, Jade, and Brandi Rhodes to eliminate Havok. This alliance is shortlived, as Mickie then eliminates Jade and Mickie is eliminated by Brandi Rhodes. One by one, competitors are eliminated. We’re down to Naomi, Paige, Santana Garrett, and Deonna Purrazzo. Paige eliminates Santana Garrett, who she defeated earlier in the evening. Paige, Naomi, and Purrazzo stare each other down, but Naomi and Deonna immediately go after Paige. Deonna has other plans though, feigning allegiance and tries to eliminate Naomi. While Naomi and Deonna are duking it out, Santana Garrett comes back into the ring and eliminates Paige. “Sorry, not sorry!” After this, Naomi and Deonna Purrazzo struggle, but Naomi is able to get the upper hand, eliminating Deonna.
Winner: Naomi
Naomi and Taeler (who has left the announce table) have a stare down as Taeler holds up her championship high for all of the crowd to see, to which the crowd raucously boos. Taeler smiles and devilish smile and blows a kiss to her adoring fans.
Ken Shamrock angrily bursts into William Regal's office and Regal brings up what he did to Cody Rhodes earlier tonight. Just as Shamrock begins to speak, Cody bursts in. Regal says he's glad both of them are here, as he has an announcement. If Ken Shamrock defeats Eric Young tonight, Ken will get a match for the King of the Cage Championship at War Zone. If Shamrock loses, he will be gone from NMCW. He adds on a further stipulation. If there is any interference....any at all, Rhodes will be stripped of the King of the Cage championship. This stipulation was added because Regal knows how Rhodes thinks and believes he would do anything to avoid Shamrock. Regal then sends a staff member to inform Eric Young he is on next.
Match 4: Ken Shamrock vs. Eric Young (if Shamrock wins, he faces Cody Rhodes for the King of the Cage Championship at War Zone; if he loses, he is fired)
Ken wastes no time in getting to the ring. He doesn't stop to do his signature yell. He goes to one corner and stares like a madman at the ramp.
Eric Young and Ken Shamrock both take a moment of time to stare each other down. Young gets up in Shamrock's face and lets out a yell. Shamrock answers right back with one of his own. Shamrock goes right into delivering a series of blows to EY. Not letting up for a moment, Shamrock is absolutely taking his rage out on Young, as he is imagining that he is fighting Rhodes. Stiff forearms and German Suplexes galore, Shamrock beats the ever-loving shit out of EY. To put Eric out of his misery, Shamrock applies the ankle lock, to which EY taps out.
Winner: Ken Shamrock by submission
Cody, Brandi, and Stephen Amell come out and stand at the top of the ramp. Cody is sarcastically clapping, while Brandi holds up Cody’s title almost as if to taunt Shamrock.
Backstage Paige is talking to Conor McGregor. Conor congratulates Paige on having a hell of a match against Santana Garrett. He says he is aware of her reputation and sees a lot of potential to be among the best in NMCW. She was sorely underutilized in WWE and is ready to bury the PG giant once and for all. McGregor offers to be Paige's manager. Paige accepts.
Match 5: All American Dynasty (w/ Chael Sonnen) vs. The Authors of Pain (w/ Jim Cornette)
The two teams have a fairly solid match. While the two teams go at it in the ring, Cornette and Sonnen are getting up in each other's faces. Rezar though, comes out and charges at Chael, forcing the UFC Legend to retreat to his team's corner. Rezar comes back in and hits a buckle-bomb on ECIII in a measure of retaliation for last week. Carter is able to tag out though, but so is Rezar. Akam and Hager do battle while Rezar attacks ECIII on the outside. Akam hits a quick powerbomb on Hager and gets the pin.
Winners: The Authors of Pain by pinfall
William Regal comes out and announces that given the bad blood between these teams, they will settle it at War Zone. Only this time, they are going to be contesting for the new NMCW Tag Team Championship, which will be named the Brothers of the Sands Championship.
A vignette airs. It shows a rundown bar. A cage is set up in the middle and one man is whaling on someone. As the camera gets closer, we see that this individual on the ground is CLEARLY knocked out. This isn't stopping our fighter though. He keeps going and going. Eventually, we see his face and this man is FUMING. He runs is bloodstained hands through his hair, still fuming with RAGE. As his breathing slows, the words "Rocky Rage" come across the screen and then you still hear the slow, cathartic breathing as the screen goes to black.
Match 6: #1 Contender's match to determine who faces Pete Dunne at War Zone (No Disqualification): Dean Ambrose vs. Cody Rhodes
Ambrose and Rhodes instantly go to beating the piss out of each other. Ambrose is the first to introduce a weapon, bringing out a kendo stick. Rhodes is eventually able to get away from him and exacts the violence on Ambrose. The two go more and more hardcore, to the point where both are bloody and bruised in the middle of the ring. When the two get up, Rhodes hits a Disaster Kick on Ambrose, who falls into the ropes and hits a hellacious clothesline on Rhodes. After a nearfall, Rhodes is able to get a third wind. Cody is about to go for CrossRhodes and just when he is about to hit it, out of nowhere, Shamrock's music hits.
Cody frantically searches for his War Zone opponent, but Dean Ambrose gets the roll up and the pinfall victory.
Winner: Dean Ambrose by pinfall
The commentary team informs the viewers that General Manager Ronda Rousey has also said that Iveliesse will defend her Queen of the Cage Championship in a Steel Cage Match at War Zone. The commentators then go through the rest of the matches that have been confirmed.
