Happy Aceh Education Day | Selamat Hari Pendidikan Aceh
Banda Aceh - Governor Ali Hasjmy, Lieutenant Colonel Syamaun Gaharu, Major Teuku Hamzah Bendahara, ulamas and other Acehnese figures who were agreed to lay the foundation for Aceh's education development. The trail began with the birth of the Aceh Welfare Fund Foundation (YDKA) on April 21, 1958.
YDKA's task is to compile a program to present a village of students and students in the provincial capital and seek the establishment of a university for Aceh. So, on June 29, 1958, a Planning Commission and the Student City / Student City were formed.
The commission, chaired by Governor Ali Hasjmy, served as a creator commission, a think-tank and inspiration for YDKA besides being the most basic capital for the construction of Acehnese student and student housing complexes.
A year later, on August 17, 1959, the laying of the first stone of the construction of Acehnese student and student villages was begun by the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia KH Mohd Ilyas. A week later, following the laying of the first stone of the building in Darussalam by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. Priyono.
On September 2, 1959, after the laying of the first stone, President Soekarno officially opened the City of Student Darussalam accompanied by the opening of the veil of Tugu Darussalam and the inauguration of the first faculty at Unsyiah, namely the Faculty of Economics. And, on September 2, this was then set as the day of the Regional Education of Taniani Yunis, Observer of Aceh Education (Hardikda).
