Of learning to paint and of new crushes | What I've been up to

What I've been up to.

...not that you're going to be interested. I mean, among the hundreds of thousands of Steemit users, I'm probably just a speck of dust loitering aimlessly. But then again, this is my feed and I get to do what I want to (insert sadistic and smug grin here).

New hobby

Last weekend, I finally got to buy a watercolor set! Hoorah!

My friend Noimi has been bugging me to paint for her a bookmark since two years ago. I have never taken painting seriously; I only ever did it in passing (school activities, occasional contests...).

Before the year ended, I swore I was going to learn watercolor. Armed with a Christmas present from Noimi -- a watercolor pad, btw -- and my brand new student-grade, 16-color watercolor, I decided to give it a try! At 7 PM last Saturday! (I know, I have a bad habit of getting to work at night).

Like most of my other works, this one's incomplete. I've been basing it off a watercolor painting I'd seen online.

I think the best way for me to learn watercolor painting is actually learning by example. Of course, I got discouraged by the lack of resemblance between my work and the original one, but I promise to make a painting as good as that one in the future!

New crush

Remember that crush post? Yes, the illustrated story one. Nope, not gonna link it here! And DON'T EVEN THINK OF LINKING IT IN THE COMMENTS SECTION, GOT IT?

(I'm seriously regretting posting that story here OML).

I've gotten over ex-crush (I know!!! Shallow hehe) and am now crushing on someone else -- a South Korean someone else!

He is such a cutie, I swear!

I even sketched him at work today, while waiting for time to pass by faster because I was badly bored to death (now playing: blink-182's Bored to Death).

How I came to crush on this guy?

Because of this song, which happened to be a song he wrote! Also, his voice captured my heart from the get-go (he sang the first lines) -- it was very cute and boyish! And gosh, he's got talent in writing songs. I'm seriously shaken.

Granted, the song was simple and rather "chill," but it didn't stop the last song syndrome to hit me right in the head! He's been writing songs for his group, iKON, since they first debuted in the entertainment industry, and boy was he so talented.

(You bet I watched too many videos with him in it.)
