RE: A Bouquet of Thanks

in #writing6 years ago

I don't believe that things, even beautiful glass ornaments, have mystical qualities but I KNOW that the kindness and love, that is, the SPIRIT in which they are given have a mind blowing effect. Yes, even to the point of saving a hopeless person from suicide.
A lovely well crafted story John.

Thanks, @justjoy - In the story I discussed your very point:

Now, I’m not attaching magical properties to the ornaments, but I do know that things often become infused with an aura.
Most people say this is nonsense, but I disagree. For instance, I don’t know anybody who would wear a sweater worn by a serial killer or rapist. Well, isn’t that the same thing—the belief that some object has been blessed or contaminated by the owner’s spirit in some way?
In the Bible it says to avoid wearing even clothing contaminated by sin and the bones of Elisha held an anointing that healed a man - Paul's handkerchiefs? etc etc LOL!!
