Why would you drink coffee at night?

It's 10 pm. Why would he leave me a coffee?
It's too late, why didn't he leave me a tea?
The cup is warm, the smell is etherial
The thought of drinking it is sheer bliss.

Conflicted.
I won't sleep if I drink it.
But I want it, I need it.
Dark brew, so creamy and bitter yet sweet.

I only work at 1:30 tomorrow...
I probably won't drink it all...
Telling myself..
Negotiating

Sigh...
No sense wasting it
I think to myself sipping it.

"I'm going to regret this later"
