"Steemit Challenge s28wk2 : Remembering Through Healing
Tina had just started to close the door of the house, when she looked at the house, she saw that it was silent, but somewhere the echo of her mother's footsteps was floating around. The air in the house had also changed somehow. There was no more mother's own melody coming from the kitchen. There was no smell of food, no more shouting and laughing and joking like before. Still, Tina could find her mother's feelings or touch in every corner.
As she went towards the kitchen, the old cooking apron kept next to the stove was also looking at her, as if it seemed that her mother was saying, "Tina, give me a little less salt. Too much salt is not good." Who else would say that now? When Tina would sit quietly after working all night, she felt like her mother was sitting in front of her and saying, "Tina, why did you leave in anger?" She could have just talked.
The words kept turning in her head all the time and her eyes filled with tears as she thought about them. She knew that they both misunderstood, but love was never wrong. While rummaging through an old cupboard, Tina found a diary. The entire diary was covered in dust. Upon finding the diary, she suddenly felt something different in her mind.
As soon as she opened the diary, the first line on the page of the diary, where it was written, "The day I am no longer here, this writing should reach my daughter." Instantly, Tina's chest trembled and she began to think about how many unknown things her mother had written in this diary. As she turned the page, she saw another writing, "Mother says, Tina, even though you are angry, I know your heart is soft. If I were alive, I would hold your hand and tell you to forgive my mistakes." Tina's eyes blurred, for all these years she thought that her mother would suffer if she was angry. But today, Tina realized that her mother was hiding her guilt.
Just then, there was a knock at the door, father standing, calling Tina, Tina opened the door and saw her father was very tired, but there was a lot of affection in his eyes. Father started asking, did you get your mother's diary? Then Tina nodded and said yes, father, I got it, mother wanted to tell me a lot. Father slowly placed his hand on Tina's head and said, your mother used to tell me that Tina would learn to understand me one day, but maybe I wouldn't be there then. She knew our time was very short. Hearing such words from father, Tina broke down inside. So mother already understood that her time was running out.
That night, Tina was sitting on the balcony with her diary, reading, the pages of the diary had the tender pain of memories, and hidden love. On the last page, she saw that mother had written, When you feel very lonely, look at the sky, I will be with every breath you take. And I will always be by your side. I will always believe this. Tina's previous suffocation was not there, it was a different abode of peace. It felt like her mother was still holding her.
The next morning, as she opened the door, a cold breeze hit her cheek. Suddenly, she saw that new flowers had bloomed on her mother's small shiuli flower tree. That tree had been carefully kept alive by her mother for the last few months. She picked up the flower and whispered, "Mom, did you really come as this flower bud?" The wind swayed lightly, it felt like her mother's voice, "I am here, Mom. I have never lost you, and I will never lose you again." That day, she smiled for the first time, a truly comfortable smile, it felt like her mother's memory was not causing pain, but rather giving her strength, inspiration, and the will to live.
Tina started saying, "I will be okay, Mom, remembering you. On the path you left behind. Just stay by my side, and if you are by my side, I can conquer fear too." And at that moment, Tina's burden seemed to lighten, she understood that being lost did not mean forgetting. This being lost meant moving forward with memories in her heart. This is how Tina's new life began. It is not the absence of a mother, but the love of a mother that gives strength. And that is how she recovers. Thank you.
