"Steemit Challenge s28wk3: When Hope Returns

She was just sitting casually sitting on the receptionists chair... Smiling at a customer asking for directions, with her corporate outfit... Something about her caught his attention, was it the way the suit looked on he or the way she talked nicely.... He would figure that out later.

He went to his position and kept on working on the project he left off when he took the leave, he liked working on that particular project before the big downfall he had, it was quite a minor work though, but as he was working his mind drifted to the girl he saw earlier...

He raised his eyes up and he saw her passing again, "Nina a word with you please?" She nodded and smiled again and it struck him.

Sameera had that same smile, he bent his head downwards and quickly waved the moment of nostalgia aside by getting back to his work.

After the closing of work, he was going in his normal path, he made the path where the tree bloomed eventually with it's beautiful flowers.

He felt like sitting there for a while, it was somewhere that gave him leave, he walked enjoying the evening sun and the smell of the just drying soil from the early shower that had fallen.

While approaching he saw a familiar figure there sitting on the bench staring at the tree, while approaching the sitting area he recognized the figure, It was the receptionist, he saw a calm expression on her face.

He sat down beside her "Come here often?" He threw the question which had startled her a little, she turned and saw the guy she had seen earlier, she gave him that flashing smile and said "Well let's say it just became a habit" She said and returned to looking at the tree.

"You like the tree??" He asked

"You know.... I passed by here once, when I was coming for the interview, it was completely dry and no leaves, but someone was still tending to it, passing by again it's bloomed beautifully, it makes me feel calm and know that, even a dessert land or something we think is hopeless can still produce something beautiful, we just need to put in a little work" Nina said

Ronny stared at her with a whole new look, something about the way she spoke made him give a little smile and feel comfortable, something nobody had been able to do for ages. They talked a little bit more and exchanged contacts, Ronny was determined to keep in touch.

They became friends occasionally hanging out at the sitting area under the tree, she was full of life and brightened up his days anytime he felt bad, he always wanted to see her.
Together they watched the tree bloom, and soon autumn came, winter came, spring came and summer came, they were friends throughout those seasons.

One day he came to work and saw her, and his heart started racing, faster than normal, her smile looked more alluring, she spoke confidently and everything about her seemed to be perfect.

Ronny remembered the first time he felt like this and he knew exactly what the feeling was, he was sure that she was the one, he wasn't scared at all of what would happen, he ever ready to pop the question, just needed to find the perfect moment.
