They ultimately found out that it was a plan by a corrupt town official who was in charge of the treasure.

When Timothy and David held the wooden box and the old diary, they felt like they were at the climax of a very old hidden truth. The diary belonged to Tony's father, Harris. Harris used to work as an accountant for the corrupt town official back then who was in charge of the treasure, whose name was Jackson.

Opening the diary solved the mystery of the fort’s treasure. Jackson was a very clever and desperately wanted to be rich, so he stole the fort's secret treasures. To hide the theft, he made up a story that the fort and its treasure just vanished because of some kind of magic or strange happening.

Jackson used big threats to make Tony's father keep quiet. Harris regretted what happened but couldn't stop Pratap, as his life was in danger. But he believed the truth would come out one day. So, as proof of Jackson's crime, he hid the diary and a few small family items at the end of the tunnel.

Harris told his son, Tony, "When you find someone you can trustworthy, tell him the truth." Tony had been watching Timothy for a long time and decided he was the right, honest person. That’s why Tony became his neighbor for long and kept a good friendship with him. He also knew that Timothy and the police officer David, were good friends. By telling Timothy, he knew David would help, because Tony couldn't solve this big mystery by himself.

The two friends quickly went back to Tony. When they asked him why he kept the secret for so long, he started crying. Tony explained that even though Jackson was old, he was still dangerous and would hamper anyone who tried to expose his past crimes.

Tony felt he couldn't go to the police alone. Jackson was very respected in the city, and people thought he was a good man. If Tony had spoken up, no one would have believed him and his family would have been in trouble.

After his father Harris died from a serious sickness, the secret became too heavy for Tony to carry. That’s when he felt sure Timothy was the right person to help him and David reveal the truth.

David used his police skills to check the diary's handwriting, old police reports, and Jackson's money transactions records. Everything matched up perfectly with what the diary said.

Jackson, who was known as an honorable old man and City Father was called in. David showed him all the evidence. At first, he denied everything. But when he saw Harris son and Timothy standing against him and realized all the proof was solid, he had no choice but to confess.

In a moment, Jackson lost all his honor and fame. The police arrested him. They find all the fort's treasure from Jackson's old hiding place. The hard work of the two young men, Timothy and David, and the elder citizen Tony, created a new piece of history, and the truth about the mystery that scared people for so long was finally revealed.
