Steemit Challenge s28wk4: Hidden Truth Unveiled.
The sky of the night is seemed darker after emerging from the labyrinth beneath the castle. As the torchlight went out. In that time there was only cold air and the smell of old stone. Timothy's body was still trembling with excitement, fear and the touch of truth. David held the diary tightly and said, "Timothy, there is no owner's name written here. It only says 'The one who believed in me was blamed.' Meaning, the one who believed in me was broken by someone." It hit Timothy's heart like an arrow. Did Tony know the truth? Or was he himself part of this mystery? They silently decided that if they wanted to move to forward, they would have to face Tony first.
The next day evening, the two arrived in front of Tony's house. Tony's house was not seemed like as the other houses in the city. There had sketches of old castles on the walls, old wooden bookshelves inside, and that special smell that comes from the houses of people who live with history. Tony quietly led the two of them inside. His both eyes were tired, but the fire hidden inside had not yet gone out. Timothy put the diary on the table and he sighed. You found it. David asked,
You knew for a long time, right? Tony's voice became heavy. Yes I was the right-hand man of that official. The city thought that he had hidden the treasure but in fact he had been framed. Timothy was surprised. But who? Who planned such a big thing? Tony opened the old and closed drawer next to the table and took out some documents one by one.
Tony said that the person who was the in charge of this treasure was an honest man. But there was another influential official in the city who wanted to control everything. He thought and wanted to take the treasure into his own hands. He planned and arranged the incident in such a way that the whole blame would fall on our boss. David said firmly, meaning the whole town thought the wrong person was guilty? Yes, Tony said slowly. I knew everything. But I was kept quiet in such a way that I didn't have the courage to tell the truth. But what you two found today was my last hope. The remorse he had held inside for so long was rising from his heart like a heavy rock turning into tears. There is a line appeared on the last page of the diary. I realize that i am being framed. But I cannot reveal his identity at this moment. Because he is among those dearest to me. David and Timothy exchanged glances. David and Timothy looked at each other. Someone close? You mean family? Friends? Colleagues? As they looked at Tony, Tony smiled slowly, a sad smile."You think I might be that person?"
Timothy was silent. No, Tony wiped his eyes and said,I was just a small employee back then.
Who was used in this dark game. Something like a bolt of lightning attack on David's head. The diary shows that the only powerful person in the city at that time was the old mayor. Tony nodded and said, "That's right. The mayor had done everything right. He had removed the treasure. But later, worried about his reputation, he secretly donated it somewhere. Now the treasure is gone. But the traces of that crime and the city's mistaken beliefs remain. David was shocked. So our search all this time was not to find the treasure, but to find the truth?" Tony said very softly that the value of the treasure was not in gold and silver, but in truth. Timothy and David were standing in front of the huge gate in front of the castle. They were floating in the sky.
I happily like to invite
