I understand the desire to fund new projects, and use your stake here to do so. Have you thought about using @utopian-io to help with this?
If you need developers, they could produce the code as open source (this could be a deal breaker), and be monetized that way? Bug reports, tutorials, analysis, etc, of the project could have it funded in many ways, long into the future too.
