The 10th China International Tourism Commodities Fair has been held on May 25th-28th at the Yiwu International Expo Center, attracting 1500 enterprises from 34 overseas countries and regions, and 29 domestic provinces and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps. This fair has five major exhibition areas, including environmental protection toilets, provincial and municipal libraries, theme pavilions, local characteristics products and handicraft gifts Museum and tourism equipment Museum. It fully presented the new concept, new customs, new products and new technologies of tourism industry, leading the new trend of tourism commodity innovation and tourism consumption service. Following are six highlights of the 10th China International Tourism Commodities Fair.

Highlight 1: “Internet plus” presents the charm of Smart Tourism

 

This exhibition further promoted the new format of “Internet plus travel”, focusing on Smart Tourism. A large number of intelligent and convenient tourism service enterprises appear in the Smart Tourism exhibition area, which fully demonstrates the new trend of tourism market in various aspects such as tourism experience, tourism management, tourism service and tourism marketing and so on. Zhejiang Tourism Information Center jointly joined the three operators of China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom to fully present the exploration results of tourism big data application. The trend of the integration of “tourism plus culture” is more obvious. “Product plus cultural creativity”, “marketing plus cultural creativity” and “promotion plus cultural creativity” is an important part of this year's display.

 

Compared with previous years, smart tourism exhibition area this year pays more attention to the sense of experience on the spot, and the forms of interaction become richer and richer, widely applying AR and VR technologies. A number of “travel plus”, “culture plus” and “Internet plus” related science and technology enterprises and institutions brought the world's most popular VR technology into applications, creating fabulous “future amusement park” on the spot. The main stage of the exhibition also carried out We-Chat tug-of-war, racing and shake to enhance the audience's sense of participation.

Highlight 2: Tourism commodities gather around with domestic sharp designs

 

Promoting tourism commodity innovation is an important mission of this fair. Nearly 3000 works had been displayed in the exhibition area of China Tourism Commodities Competition and the award ceremony was held. This competition took the theme of calligraphy and painting, modern creativity, better life and Create in China, setting up 80 awards.

 

In addition, the National Tourism Commodity Research and Development Center set up exhibition about achievement of it on the spot. It focused on the achievements of the national joint research and development base, and provided a platform for the exchange of tourism commodity design and research and development and the transformation of these results. The Yiwu Innovation and Design Industry Association also brought cultural creative products into the exhibition. Audience can feel the aesthetic ideas brought about by these creative products at close range.

Highlight 3: The whole globe is gathering here to give a show of their own culture

 

As the largest tourism commodity and consumer exposition in Asia, this exhibition is full of exotic customs. Enterprises from 34 foreign countries and regions, such as Russia, France, Spain, Portugal, Portugal, Japan, Switzerland, Argentina, Philippines, Australia, Hungary, Pakistan, Iran, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, South Africa, Kenya, Cameroon, Madagascar and Ethiopia, appeared in the international exhibition area, displaying high-quality goods and tourism services around the globe. Among them, Russia has greatly increased in its exhibition area, bringing many Eastern European products, for the upcoming opening of the 2018 World Cup. Argentina traveled thousands of miles to transport its red wine, beef, seafood and Maldives tea to the scene, so that the audience could enjoy the flavor of South America. Palawan island in Philippines, which was named “the last virgin land of nature”, has been “moved” to the exhibition, showing Palawan's rain forest, the magnificent mountains, the original cave and the world-class diving resorts, attracts the audience a lot.

Highlight 4: Gather high-quality resources and create platforms for project investment

 

The Expo not only attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourism enterprises, tourism commodity R&D enterprises and tourism service organizations, but also gathered the information flow, capital flow and technology flow related to the tourism industry, and became the excellent platform for the exchange and cooperation of the tourism industry and the docking of projects.

 

In order to promote the overall tourism development of Yiwu, optimize the tourism investment environment and broaden the channels of investment, a tourist project negotiation area has been set up in the Yiwu whole area tour and the beautiful rural boutique area of this exhibition, and a seamless docking platform is set up for the investment subject. The organization has specially printed the “Yiwu Tourism Project Investment Handbook”, and nearly 40 tourism investment projects, such as the beautiful countryside boutique line and a class a scenic area, open their door to the majority of the investment subjects.

And a number of tourism enterprises and tourism investors have clearly defined their investment intentions.

Highlight 5: Local characteristic exhibition area brings new experience for audience

 

This Fair set up provincial and municipal exhibition area, local characteristics and handicraft gifts centers to display local characterized tourist commodities. Among them, the provincial and municipal exhibition area has collected the characteristic commodities of 28 provinces and cities nationwide, showing the characteristic tourism industry and unique local customs. For example, Hebei exhibition area has highlighted Hebei characteristic tourist commodities with its cultural connotation, and organized 32 key tourism commodity production enterprises to join the exhibition, such as the Langfang calabash and pottery from Cizhou Kiln, Handan City. In Fujian exhibition area, comprehensive display of Fujian tourism resources and representative tourism products were given to the audience, around the brand image of “fresh Fujian”, through display of introduction, folk performance, consultation negotiations and interactive activities, so as to promote its band of “Fresh Fujian”.

 

The local characteristic exhibition areas focus on both practical and artistic cultural creative products and intangible cultural heritage derivatives, which fully demonstrate the diversity and creativity of Chinese traditional regional culture. As the host, Yiwu has launched three exhibition area showing the Ten Beautiful Rural boutique lines, the Top 10 companion gifts (agricultural and sideline products) in Yiwu in 2018, and tourism and cultural creativity in Yiwu, which, in a new form and perspective, displays the achievements of tourism development in Yiwu in recent years.

Highlight 6: Toilet revolution gets a brand new start

 

2018 is the first year of the new three-year-plan for the national toilet revolution. The “2018 China toilet revolution seminar” has been held on the first day of the exhibition. With the theme of “construction, management and upgrading”, famous toilet enterprises and institutional experts in the industry made a speech in Yiwu, and built an exchange platform to promote the development of domestic toilet enterprises and the renovation of the toilet industry through the workshop.

 

As China’s first exhibition of environmental toilet display, the fair has attracted dozens of toilet manufacturers, such as Shanghai Senhe, Hangzhou Rochester Midland Corporation, Hua Yang departure, Dongyang ShunDa steel structure, Hangzhou legend Env., Ctrl Way and Jiangsu Creator industry, and concentrated on the latest industry products and technology in the environmental toilet. At the same time, the toilet revolution exhibition displayed the “fifth space” which integrates tourist services, third toilets, catering, leisure, business and other formats, showing the new trend of future tourist toilets construction under the concept of “commercial toilet”.
