Do YouTube channels earn advertising revenue from people that pay for YouTube Red? If not, how could they make money from their videos if the majority paid for YouTube Red?

It's not advertising revenue. YouTube Red doesn't display ads. YouTube Channels do earn because they're getting a cut of the subscription fees if someone watches their video through the YouTube Red service. It's a paid service. Also, you can earn money by following the steps in this next video.
