Hello, #steem lovers, especially #photography lovers..

This beetle has a very unique behavior because it is directly related to feces, which is the waste of the digestive process that occurs in humans and animals. Feces are certainly an unpleasant and smelly material. But who would have thought that feces would be a very helpful material for other living things, so the name of this beetle is Dung Beetle.

A Dung Beetle's life is heavily dependent on the food and shelter provided by other animals, which, in turn, relies upon the feces of other animals. There are still some positive things that we can draw from all of this, even though it seems that there is nothing but negative in it all. It is important to note that the majority of Dung Beetles prefer to consume dung from herbivorous animals over carnivorous ones. However, a small number of Dung Beetles consume stale leaves and plant crumbs. Others eat and drink nothing but animal feces.

Another thing is that Dung Beetles are responsible parents. This is proven by the common fact that these beetles search for dung with the aim of feeding their children. The beetles divert the dung they have collected into their nests. The female beetles also live and lay eggs there. When the eggs hatch, they will produce larvae and all of them will feed directly on the animal dung that has been deposited in the nest. Adult beetles generally supply the nest with enough feces so that their young can get enough food until they are old enough.

In addition, the next unique feature is that Dung Beetles are very selective in their choice of food. Some Dung Beetles are very selective when it comes to choosing animal dung. They will only eat certain animal dung and will not touch other animal dung at all. Despite the fact that Dung Beetles eat kangaroo dung. When animals such as cows, sheep, and horses were imported and grazed alongside the kangaroos that had long grazed there. It turned out that the Dung Beetles there did not want to touch the dung of these new animals.

The next uniqueness is that because of its small size, the beetle has extraordinary strength. Generally, Dung Beetles can push dung balls weighing 50 times their body weight. The strength of male Dung Beetles is not just used to push their food, but also to fight with other male Dung Beetles. Dung Beetles have a habit of rolling an object in a handstand position. While the object that is rolled is a collection of feces from other animals. Although it looks dirty, it actually serves to cool his feet and head when he feels hot.

These are some interesting facts about Dung Beetles. Since they can't separate themselves from dirt, they seem disgusting. In fact, their method of collecting dung and storing it in the soil proves to be beneficial for keeping the soil fertile.
