Overtime if you've noticed my blog, i have focused more on Christianity posts and #celestialchallenge. Today i decided to do something different, by expanding my blog to cover a lager variety of human endeavors.

How Addiction works

Everyone gets tempted to do one bad thing or the other, when you succumb to such temptations, it goes on and on and on, until it becomes an addiction. I dont know what addiction my readers have right now, it might be drugs and alcohol, pornography, gambling, sex, etc. but i am here to bring the possible escape route to your problem. Addictions did not just come on its own, it is is as a result of continuous practice of bad habits leading to the uncontrollable urge to keep doing it.

Steps to break free

I will just give you 5 steps and trust me keep practicing them and you will be out of it in no time.

1. BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SOMEONE

If you are ready to break loose of that addiction no matter how embarrassing it may seem, you must have already purposed it in your mind, then get yourself a life coach that you can be accountable to. When you have someone to be accountable to, you wont spend those late nights, or do those crazy things you do in the open. The person has to be someone responsible and someone you can relate freely to. When you have a problem, you dont just bottle it up inside, set it free so that your solution can come.

2. KNOW THYSELF

There is need to know one's self. You know your weak points, you know when that addiction comes. If it happens when you are alone then get some buddies. If it happens when you are around a particular person or group of people then block them off. Yes it might be difficult at first but your only choice is to keep trying and striving for your break through. Forget what they may say, remember you are doing it for yourself, every addiction leads to destruction remember that.

3. GET A HOBBY OR SOMETHING WORTH DOING

I remember when i had my own addiction, trust me it wasn't easy breaking it. I was addicted to gambling. My Nigerian buddies will know bet9ja very well, I give God the glory that i am out of it. What did i do?... I simply got a hobby(steemit), and you too can. Instead of sitting on the laptop to watch porn, why not sit on the laptop to SteemIt? Or instead of gambling, why not invest that money in steem? Or any other business. Get yourself busy with something worthwhile and you will be amazed at your progress.

4. BE CAUTIOUS AND KEEP RECORD

Always be sensitive to not falling back into the water of addiction when you've almost made it out. Be extremely careful at least for the first month, if possible, write it down somewhere. Keep records as well, every step forward is a good step no matter the size of the step. Keep trying, keep striving, show determination to succeed.

5. GET ON YOUR KNEES AND PRAY

There are addictions that you need the help of the holy spirit to break. There is no addiction too deep that you can not come out of. Keep trying keep praying and make the right steps you will be out of it.

KEEP PRACTICING THESE STEPS OVER AND OVER AND YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT WHAT A LITTLE DETERMINATION CAN DO. DON'T BE DISCOURAGED IF YOU FAIL, REMEMBER THAT THE ADDICTION DID NOT COME IN ONE DAY, SO IT WONT LEAVE IN ONE DAY.
