African Giant Millipede (Archispirostreptus gigas)
Hello again everyone! I am coming up with another fascinating creature that still exists around us. It's a millipede that I was accidentally noticed crawling slowly on the wet twig where some mushrooms grow. While being there, I took a little time to capture this invertebrates species. Here we call " Kaki Seribu" literally translated as " a thousand feet," refers to the many feet they have. Millipedes are included in the family of lobster, shrimp, and crayfish. Millipedes are cylindrical or slightly flattened invertebrates. It has round-bodied pests have two sets of legs on each body segment, curling up into a fantastic shape, as you can see in the picture, and does not move when we touch. The body is long and cylindrical. When disturbed, millipedes escape predation by moving away in a slithering, snake-like motion, which may scare off some predators. Millipedes are some of the oldest land animals on Earth. The first known millipede, Pneumodesmus newmani, was only 1 cm long and appeared during the Paleozoic era, 252-541 million years ago
