Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.26) - The intersection of parallels.

in WORLD OF XPILARlast month

As you know and any mathematician will confirm this to you parallel lines never intersect this is quite logical but circumstances have their own opinion on this which is not similar to our opinion.

What could be simpler and clearer I have the same plans for solving some problems while others have completely different plans.

And they both look in opposite directions but at some point these two parallel directions suddenly intersect in the most inappropriate place and both find themselves in a dead end.

Moreover everyone has their own special impasse which does not provide a quick understanding of how to correct this one might say stressful situation.

Such thoughts came to me when yesterday I started drawing my next drawing.

It was already late evening when the shepherd dog having spent a lot of energy found two lost sheep and led them along the forest road to the village.

All the dangers were behind us and behind the forest the picket fences of village courtyards could already be seen.

An old elk who was grazing in the swamps on one side of the village suddenly decided in the evening that he had important business to do in the forest but he needed to go through the village.

After waiting until it was dark when everyone in the village had fallen asleep even the dogs he set off.

The herding dog's and the moose's plans for the evening were like parallel lines but they intersected at the edge of the forest.

The lines crossed and began to wind in knots, but it is possible that after a few minutes when the fright of the elk and the dog gave way and they returned to the ability to think soberly.

I hope that the plans of both again have become like parallel lines that do not intersect but this is up to you to decide by looking at the drawing.

Yesterday I started working on the drawings as usual writing the date and my nickname in the corner of a piece of paper in my sketchbook in which the last blank sheet of paper remained and I had no right to make a mistake... although I could have erased a few unfinished sketches with an eraser.

In the course of work some incidents arise such as a misunderstanding of how a dog’s bent paw should look but I forgive myself for this since I draw everything from my imagination and he has his own opinion on this matter.

Although I respect my imagination I try to correct mistakes if I do not completely agree with it.

It's time to fix the dog's paw and draw a sheep that the dog was leading to the village.

I thought that one shell would be bored and drew a second sheep, which clings to the first sheep in fear, because now they see the silhouette of an unknown creature that appeared on the road in front of them, I'm talking about a moose.

Now, it’s time for me to get scared, because it becomes a little scary when you have to depict the night in a drawing and the graphite mercilessly blackens the paper the drawing is easy to spoil and difficult to fix.

After some time I decided that it was time to finish working on the drawing.

This was the drawing at the very moment when it already seemed like it was time to stop there.

But late in the evening just before going to bed I picked up a sketchbook looked at the drawing and extended my hand to the pencils.

After some more work on the shadows and surrounding landscape I decided that the parallel lines had intersected enough.

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.

I would love to learn how to draw from you... Your work rate is commendable.

You draw wonderfully and soon you will have students who will take drawing lessons :)
Thank you!

Hoping to get there soon. Thanks for the encouragement.
