CACAO TREE: ONE OF MY FAVORITES

in #cacaotree7 years ago

There are many trees that you can find at my aunt grandma's house. There is a coconut tree, mango tree, miracle tree but one of my favorites is the cacao tree. It has always been my favorite ever since.

The cacao tree is just a small tree. I have seen two kinds of this tree. The one bears a purple fruit while the other one is green. Both turns yellow when it is ripe. I love the green ones more than the purple ones. The green ones are sweet and very juicy. The taste of the purple ones is like the combination of sweet and sour taste. It is also very juicy and still delicious. I guess the purple ones are for the adventurous type of people.

Its fruits are called cocoa which is used to make chocolates and cocoa powders. It is also used to make "tabliya". It is one of my favorite drinks. I also loved it when it is used to make chocolate porridge. Oh my! I just want to have some of the chocolate porridge. It's been a while since I last tasted it.

I have witnessed how to make a"tabliya". I remember selling some of them before. I also remember how people loved my aunt grandma's tabliya". They never failed to tell us before how pure and tasty it is. Unfortunately, my aunt grandma stopped selling it when the cocoa fruit has lessened because of the very hot weather here in our place.

Lucky for me because when we paid her a visit yesterday there are already riped fruits. I eventually asked for her permission if I could eat the ripe ones and gladly she said yes. Well, she never said no to me. That's how she loved me. I can feel it. She is just a very kind woman. I wish I could show her to you. Well, who knows, maybe next time.
