I feel your pain, honey Bear!
Every day,
Prince, grand and glorious Guardian of the Frisbee, lets nobody wrest his Precious from him. I would bet an Olympian athlete a thousand dollars he couldn't catch that dog, that Frisbee, without subterfuge or food bribes. Prince appears utterly relaxed, even lazy, and he'll saunter past with that Frisbee dangling from one tooth. But in a nano-second, he clamps and runs with it like Super-dog on speed.

Indeed, it is hard to groom them. One of my neighbors has a pair of collies and almost everyday he goes berserk and runs after them with a brush (my guilty pleasure - watching the dude and enjoying my coffee 😈). But they are beautiful, and very friendly....until trespassing.
Uh-oh, your neighbor's collies show up, un-invited? Whenever the UPS or mail truck shows up in our neighbors' driveway, Prince and Bear bolt into action and run like rockets to greet the driver. Prince has killed a mole and a rabbit for Harry, who SHOOTS rabbits in his garden. sigh Me, I just plant extra, and hope the possums don't get all the melons before I do. Bad Gardener LOVE the guilty pleasure of you over morning coffee watching neighbor chase dogs with that grooming brush!
No, he doesn't come to our yard. I have the perfect view from my balcony. And the poor guy has no idea that he is being watched. 😂
Everytime he walks the "gang", I go and pet them. They are very happy especially when my son is around. As for the mailman....no comment. It looks like this is something genetic, no dog likes the postal services personnel.
Our dogs LOVE the UPS man, the mail woman, the Fed Ex drivers, anyone and everyone - and where we live, these delivery drivers usually come equipped with dog treats. Our first collie was allergic to a long list of foods, but he seemed to grow out of it, or I have up on the diet and the monthly shots. Every day he'd scratch himself, and diet didn't seem to matter.
--All our dogs have hated Science Diet dog food (sorry vet, #1 ingedient is corn, and I wasn't impressed either). All our dogs hate all the expensive grain-free food. They love Purina One. And Milk-Bone biscuits from the UPS man. May they live long and prosper, anyway!
I don't know about the neighbor's dogs diet but they seem to eat pretty much everything. Our Lizzy is very moody when it comes of food: only Royal Canin food and, ocasionally, some treats from Purina. Also, she loves the watermelons and cabbage...she's a freak. 🙂
Cabbage? Is she German? LOL!
My parents once had a beagle who ate raspberries off the bush and sat by Mom when she cracked black walnuts, hoping she'd drop some.
Our collies like dried cranberries.
Grapes are said to be bad for dogs, but they've snagged some off the floor.
If hot dog and bratwurst are too salty and fatty for our dogs, why do WE eat the stuff?

Dogs can see in color, though they most likely see colors similar to a color-blind human. They can see better when the light is low.
