Another Good News As The Price Of Renvela Is Now Cut With 40% Off😃🙌
I just bought a bottle of "Renvela" for those who aren't familiar with this medicine I use it for a phosphate binder so that my phosphorus levels would not get elevated and cause an exacerbation of my hyperparathyroid condition.
Hyperparathyroid is causing me pain in my joints which is why I could not walk now as my feet joints are painful. The parathyroid condition had lead to my facial bone deformation because of a process of calcium build-up in the lower portion of my face and it made my appearance termed as "Lionface" (Leontiasis Ossea) which in itself gave me a speech disability and eating/chewing difficulty in the process.
My back also had gone crooked because of that which is why my internal organs got squeezed which also causes me to have some difficulty in breathing normally even with a small exertion only.
So I just have to control my phosphate levels making it to just be in the normal level zone so that I will not give a reason for my Parathyroid to get hyper and pump its destructive hormones into my body. I am also medicating it with my prescription medicine that is called a "Calcipar" or Cinacalcet as a brand name.
Now I just had bought Renvela yesterday and I do not know if my mother had already bought the new discounted price. I just learned from a dialysis facebook group that it was already slashed with around 40% or so which is why I am happy for this kind of news.
I also hope that Cinacalcet would also be cut with its current price because it is quite a pricey drug to procure so that my other co-patients can afford both medicines especially those that do not have any plan for a kidney transplant.
There was a law also had been passed making some medicines to be cut with their prices and I have no clue yet if the price of Cinacalcet will be the one that will get a cut as well. So a million thanks to God about this good news and I am truly happy about it.
Well, I am sure every small help is a good thing? So is this a permanent discount, or a temporary reduction due to the economics of Covid-19? Here in the USA, we've been seeing some price reductions because companies have been getting government help, and they are (thankfully!) passing it along to customers.
It is I think a permanent discount because of a law passed a few months ago, I never thought that one of my medicines got included in the list @denmarkguy
I am hoping for my Cinacalcet "Calcipar" to get some reduction too.
