Mother helped me use the privilege given by our government for paying my health insurance in my behalf as a person with disability
I will be indirectly paying for my government health insurance because my mother had applied it for me being a person with a disability and the fact that I am unemployed. I have learned that my sector as a Person with Disability (PWD) is exempted to pay for my government health insurance premium and I am automatically covered whenever I needed hospitalization and even getting free consultation from government hospitals.
Well at first I am not thinking about the government paying for my health insurance because at ;eats I can find a way to pay for my insurance premiums. But it will be wise for me to use the privilege given to me since the cost for paying the premiums are still heavy for my pocket. That is why some other sectors like even tricycle drivers, solo parents, vendors, streetsweepers, and even abandoned children are covered for free by our country's government health insurance system (Philhealth).
Now I can save some money and can use the money for something else like my nutritional supplements like the Ketoanalogues which is important for me because it supports my amino acid needs because of my protein intake restriction and it gives me more energy.
Philhealth was God's way of making me survive my health condition as a decades-old dialysis patient and without it I guess that I will be long gone already. Our church (MCGI) a long time ago had its free dialysis clinic but it was discontinued for some reason I don't know aside from not being able to get a license to operate but I am guessing otherwise.
However there was this dialysis clinic being operational now over the free clinic which the church owns and it is operated by a private entity in cooperation by the church clinic. It is a win for that private entity I guess because they will not bother from paying rent or water used by their dialysis clinic because the church's clinic where they are operating will shoulder it but that is just my guess. My mother inquired there a few years ago but I was not accepted maybe due to my viral liver disease condition considering that they can actually accommodate me.
Anyway I thank God a million times because of my mother being able to seek a way for me not to pay for my insurance premium because of course it is a big help for me financially and in a way will give me a sigh of relief and I hope that God blesses our country or our government so that many more of our citizens can get benefited by laws that would help us in may ways.
