Searching for a better laptop and smartphone but the choices for buying moves me to postpone it
It was a very good thing to have such gadgets which can help you make your life better because of what the internet has to offer. Before I bought my first laptop from late 2017 I was already using a second-hand PC which my brother had offered through the used PC from their company which is selling their own used company PCs. Thankfully I saved some money which my brother is handing me out to help for my dialysis expenses which at that time has been subsidized by our church's free clandestine dialysis clinic charity work. Later when that PC broke down, I have to buy a small tablet with keyboard so that I can use it to blog in a blockchain social media like what I am doing right now which supported me in buying this laptop which had been with me for almost seven years now if it still will last until October this year. But I am confident that this laptop will last for decades perhaps except the storage drivee which has a limited use only with its short lifespan. It is now using an SSD drive which transformed the speed of this laptop after I upgraded its storage drive along with its current memory of 16 GB. Originally this laptop has a disc drive and 4GB of memory which I thought was already ok back then. I do not have the idea that it should at least have 8 GB of memory which is why this laptop often is experiencing a blue screen of death (BSD) which I attributed to lack of memory plus the fact the disc drives also causes slow action performance. After figuring that out, I just have no choice but too upgrade and 'lo and behold, it performed faster afterwards to my surprise and contentment. But beforehand I have to clone the old drive's content to the new SSD so that I can have the same files and setting without much fuss although it is better to install a "fresh install" but so far everything works great since I am just using this laptop for light tasks like watching videos and making short blog and consuming media and nothing much.
Now what I like to happen is to purchase a laptop in particular which can offer a better screen resolution, better sound output, and maybe the same screen size and have a touchscreen feature. If I opt-in for an external monitor then I will have to add more budget for it but since a better specification means a having a heavier budget for it and the thing is that I am not ready for it yet. Maybe I can afford such laptop in the near future after the markets gets more better with increasing profitability and only then that I will have the courage to purchase the laptop which I wanted, all with better specifications which will enhance my user experience for maybe the last remaining years of my life. Lenovo is what I prefer to use again because of its known durability in general like what I got here which I am using for many years already. The only problem with this laptop was the camera which no longer works and the screen which has black horizontal line which are obscuring the tab icons of my browser. However it still works and I never experienced the BSD anymore. But again I still needed these improvements that I already mentioned because I want to have a "future proof" sort of laptop which can provide years and years of entertainment value with more capabilities if I needed more computing power which in fact I do not need much of anyway but speed of getting things done which I wanted for a laptop. I still wanted a "laptop" and not a "rig" despite that I am not carrying it around but I just want to easily transport it if need rather than having a bulky PC which is now very tedious for me to maintain or disassemble because of my weak arms and hands. So with a laptop when it comes to transporting it, I just needed to pull some cables and what is plugged into its ports, close the lid, and that's it regardless that it is still heavy for me to carry by myself and yes that is how weak I am where every exertion is really a big deal for me to contend with.
Then there is also my need to upgrade my Smartphone, like my Lenovo laptop it really needs to be upgraded despite that it is serving me well with what I needed. The selection for Smartphones is so big with one brand alone but I still have my preferences like not buying Chinese Smartphones although many of which are offering great features and a much lesser price tags, my inclination for purchasing them is lower due to my personal assumption and worry to some extent that China might one day take-over the control or somewhat reading all the data from Chinese brands of Smartphone or possibly Google blocking their use just like what they did to Huawei Smartphones which are now useless considering their Smartphones also have a much better quality compared to other Chinese Smartphones in the market today. So now my suspicion gets the best of me regarding using Chinese Smartphones because their products are marred by controversy like for example some head of the Chinese military intelligence or something like that is the head or overseer of how the Chinese smartphones should function making me think that they (China) have a backdoor way of intruding to these Chinese brands of Smartphones although I know that the USA and other nations have also a way of targeting a particular person's Smartphone and open it like they have the physical gadget in their own hands which any way is leading me to believe that we are not really safe when we use such gadgets although it had became as a basic need for us all.
Now I am bombarded with so much choices where if I pick one I will have to sacrifice an important feature which I needed like years of support whereas if I choose a more capable one with features which are great but I will not be using anyway but will cost me more, then it just means that It is just complicated from the processor, the years of security support, the heat generated by the Smartphone also is important for me as well as the option to replace the battery easier and can be a user-serviceable without bring it to a service center which has a risk of collecting my data inside the phone and that is a tragedy for me once it happens. I don't but I might buy another ASUS Smartphone because I am familiar in using it or maybe another popular brand like Samsung where its price is really like an iPhone now which both are really expensive and making me think if it is worth it to purchase them despite that their use and resale value are greater and getting somewhat better as time goes by. Well maybe my capacity to purchase another smartphone that I can truly enjoy will be the big factor for deciding what brans I will eventually purchase and like having a newer a batter laptop which is equally complicated I hope that soon enough I can replace based on what income I can produce in the next coming weeks and months following the Bitcoin value appreciation.
