Portland Headlight
The light house is located in Cape of Elizabeth in Maine United states. The light house was constructed in 1790s and is the oldest light house in the state of Maine. The light house is registered on National Register of Historic Places. The light house is spread across wide area and stands on huge rock with an height of 101 feet.
The location poses a wonderful scenic beauty for sunrise and sunset.

I took a trip to Portland last year and saw that exact light house! I do have a small replica and is one of my favorites. It was nice to see it in person.!
I didn't know it was an old fort. Was nice to look around the area and explore the old batteries. I saw the mansion that was used for officers but it was all caged up cause of how fragile it was.
