I think I just now finally understood why Batman is drawn without pupils.

In the past, it always seemed kind of strange to me that Batman is always drawn without any pupils, with his eyes all blank. It used to seem to me kind of wrong.

That is, until I came across this amazingly uncanny knock-off toy.

Now I totally, totally get why Batman doesn't need any pupils. Never will I question it again.

(Not even going to refer to Spider-man's picture on the box. Clearly that is not the main issue here).
