Wouldn't it be nice if everyone supports and votes the new users which are arriving here on Steemit? Like this, the retention and the trending page ( where always the same people on it ) problem will be solved. So many of the new users, just give up because the don't see any rewards after a couple of days. The Curators should vote for them, but the problem is, that the Curators vote for the post's from where they get the most rewards, in other words, the vote what the whales vote or what is on the trending page and give rewards to users which are already successful, right? So it's like with everything in the world, if you don't give a financial incentive or a better reward, they keep voting the stuff where they get the most rewards. So in my opinion that have to change, but how can we do that?
The idea I have ( I don't know if it is technically possible, @dantheman, in case you read this, please leave a comment ) is simple, lets use the Reputation system like a multiplier for the rewards a Curator gets. For an example if a Curator with a Reputation of lets say 60, vote for an new user with a Reputation of let say 30, he will get after 24h the curation rewards times 1,30. He have 0,3 times more than usual because he votes for a user which have 30 points less Reputation, so thats why he is getting 1,30 times the reward. It's sounds a bit complicated, but I hope you guys get the idea, what you guys think? Like this people with a higher Reputation starts to vote for new users, and most of the time users with a higher Reputation, have a certain amount of Steempower, so new users should see a decent amount of rewards, at least more than the usual 0,00$. It would be nice if you re-tweet this post as much as you can, I like this idea to be heard and maybe it can be implemented soon, thanks for reading.

Unfortunately this problem is mainly a matter for the whales. I by myself support new authors, but with my weak voting power I can affort almost nothing. So I help the newbees with comments and tips, e.g. joining the chat. This topic is to be adressed to the whales. Some fine day when I have become a whale I will do so, I promise!

Congrats! Nice you vote for new people, but the majority don't. So it's true what I say, not in your case, but in many others. What I try to say is that we have to find a way to support more the new users, and thats not the case now, otherwise we wouldn't have a retention problem... do you agree?
Yes I agree that it is a problem. That is why I try to say what pays the most at the moment. You will earn more on new people than following everybody else. The only one who benefit from that are the old authors not the curator. Be a smart curator and you will earn more and new members will get votes.

I looking always for new people with good content, I know that, you know that, but the most of the other curators don't. I just like to find a way to get more rewards to the new people that they stay on the platform and don't leave.... If we find a solution for that, Steemit will grow healthy.

It is difficult for new users to get going unless they have friends here already to help them. I would think the whales could spare some votes to help newbies. I have doubts that the voting system will get changed, but maybe there will be something in the roadmap that we may get this week.

Lately I also thought how to incentivise new authors... and I came up with something like "Redistribiution Fridays"
There is a special variable in STEEM called max_accepted_payout. If someone want to decline whole payout, then this variable is set to 0. But what if... every Friday this variable would be set to 5 SBD for everybody?
No one would be guaranteed to earned those 5 dollars, but with max payout equal 5 dollars, if would be much easier to every one to earn those 5 dollars.
And if someone would like to earn more than a 5 SBD, they can always publish article day later :)
At the same time, on this day we would produce big amount of content, so every Friday everyone would know, that there will be something speciall prepared by everyone :)
No we should not enough of this Liberal Shit. Millennial entitlement. They need to earn it . To many people have multiple accounts and vote back and forth on all there content. I believe Steem the crypto has a future , but not in its current state . I serious roadmap disclouse is needed!

What you say here is simply not true. I vote for new people every day and I make lot of STEEM doing it.
