It's Astro-Logical -- practical advice for conscious living -- Issue #19 -- Saturn direct!
Saturn rules Capricorn ... and
Capricorn is one of the Earth signs.

Saturn came out of retrograde this morning. It's spent the last several months -- since April 17 -- covering old ground in Capricorn. Saturn in Capricorn places heavy emphasis on issues of professional development, career direction, public life involvements, status, reputation and order. Essentially, Saturn's Inner Self directs the important concerns of what you want to do with your life.
This is a matter that affects everyone -- even students who are preparing to take their place in the world, and retirees who are finding ways to enjoy themselves and be useful ... even after they've left a formal professional life.
Saturn is in Capricorn now.

Saturn rules those things you see as your purpose -- which can cover everything from the serious business of working on political campaigns to change the direction of government to feeding the stray cat that comes to your door in the evenings ... and whose life would be much harder without you.
So, take a moment to consider -- what do you do with your life that gives it meaning? What are the important things that take your time and energy? I don't necessarily mean anything earth-shaking or conspicuous ... but what do you do that you would miss terribly -- and that add up to the contributions that help you feel useful?
Saturn is about responsibility and endurance.

Yes, I do a lot of writing ... and yes, I manage a Discord group that's important to me ... and yes, taking care of my family is an essential part of my life.
But for a few years a while back, those commitments included caring for an elderly neighbor whose grown daughter lived in another state and had "other things to do." So The Weasel -- @catweasel -- made sure the steps leading down from his porch were stable and his handrail secure. He patched the leaks in his roof. He kept his plumbing pipes from freezing. He would stop by and spend a few hours just talking.
We fed his dogs and washed his dishes when he had to spend time in the hospital. We made sure he had enough blankets for the winter. We planned meals and made desserts that would "keep" so we could share some with him. We helped make it possible that when he died, it was in his sleep -- in his own bed at home ... and not in the nursing facility he so feared.
It was our way of thanking him for ways he'd supported us with his contributions when he could. That's Saturn energy in action -- meeting responsibilities, living up to your obligations, discharging your debts, "making it happen." When you think about Saturn, consider your Karma -- because I promise you, he is doing exactly that.

Now that he's turned around and is heading forward again, look for a change in the general atmosphere on the serious matters of life direction and professional involvements -- the things you do out in the world that constitute your legacy. (When people talk about you in the present or remember you in the future, what do you hope they'll say?)
When planets go in and out of retrograde, especially these slower ones, things don't turn on a dime. So the change when it comes will be gradual -- but distinct. You'll stop rethinking, reconsidering, reviewing where you are vs. where you want to go next -- and start doing something about it. Those definite, decisive actions are what distinguish retrograde energy from direct.

In retrograde times there's a lot of inner thought -- and maybe inner turmoil. You imagine how you want things to be different ... and what it will take to do that. You ask yourself "What if ...?" a lot. You make some tentative moves to see what happens. You hesitate to commit to anything permanent in order to keep your options open. You run different scenarios in your mind -- and talk things over with people you trust.
Most of all there's a feeling of "marking time" or "going nowhere" -- and that can become pretty intense. Often the conditions just aren't right somehow for the moves you want to make -- and, whether you know it or not, that's because the world itself is rearranging matters to give you your best path forward -- and surprise, surprise, this takes time.
After all, you're not really the center of the universe (no matter how much you're the center of your own.) The pieces of life have to be shuffled and new patterns put into place ... and new trajectories mapped out for the good of everyone. That this happens regularly and often is proof to me of some Intelligent Design in the Cosmos. It's not all just colliding molecules and chaos.

So ... as of this morning, there's been a sea change in the direction of Saturn and the way you'll work with his energy. Slowly, the hesitation and stagnant feeling will end. You'll start to see new options that either you didn't notice prior to this or that honestly weren't there before. You, too, will start moving forward. And before long, your life will be different -- and if you're consciously directing the action ... it will be better.
That's what it's all about, really. I'll have lots more to say about all this as time goes on. (You know me. Can't seem to lay off the keyboard.)
Final notes: Saturn travels in its own shadow (is still in the degrees it passed while in retrograde) until mid-December ... so the changes you make between now and then will line up next year for serious progress on giving your life a new and better direction. As Jean-Luc Picard would say ... "Make it so!!"
If you've always known there was more to Astrology than Sun Sign material and the three line daily horoscope in the newspaper, climb aboard and follow this blog. You'll find a world of wisdom detailing how you were designed to work with life ... and why you are the way you are -- all in quick-to-read, easy-to-digest-and-remember, written-in-plain-English essays that offer plenty of food for thought.
Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.
If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.
Questions about any of this? -- Upvote this post and talk to me in comments. It's a terrific way to build value for yourself and the community ... and it will give me ideas of what to write about in future posts. Believe me there is lots to say about the way The Sun, The Moon -- and all the other elements in a horoscope, all the other components of Astrology -- work together to interpret you and your story -- and what it all means to the person you've become.
Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.

I've got to be honest. Once. I generally pass right by astrological type posts. Not that I don't agree or even believe that there are forces I do not understand at work, but because of an ex. I have a remarkable collection of them (exes) and not all recollections are pleasant. This would constitute one of those.
Now, that said. I really liked the post, and the way you laid it out. I've been scuffling a bit for several months, and that is starting to change for me. I think it was a good time to be travelling. :)
About your photos. It's like you are reading my mail right now. I've been called to Tuzigoot and Montezuma's Castle and Well and the area around there. I'm planning a 'three day two night' adventure into the area. I looked at my photos of Tuzigoot and they were taken with my very first digital camera. Which means it's been way too long.
So. You've picked up my day AND shown me the way forward. I thank you for that.
FOR TSE: You know ... I usually pass right by them, too. (Or open them out of "professional curiosity.") Most of them don't make one damn bit of sense to me either -- and that's just not right. I can think of literally two other astrologers whose work I trust ... and whose writing I regularly read. They're both either as good as or better than I am -- and they know how to write in ways that don't make your head spin.
Way too many astrologers get lost in their own jargon. (Do they think that makes them sound smarter?) Or they flat don't know what they're talking about. I've been doing this for decades ... and if I have to stop and try to interpret what someone just said ... what chance does a person have who doesn't know the first thing about astrology -- and what it offers?
No kidding. Sometimes I read some of the offerings from various places aloud to The Weasel -- and we both just laugh and shake our heads. (Like ... What the heck was that all about?? ) So believe me, I share your reservations ... and I respect them. I know exactly where they come from -- and too often, they're justified.
But the day I can't write something sensible -- and tell my reader in plain English what's happening and what to expect, it's time to hang up my keyboard.
Work work and more work :) Thank you for this info honey, it puts some things at place and provides some fresh perspective 💚
There may be hope for me after all, I read this and actually understood parts of it. I finally figured out what I wanted to know too, what effect does the moon have on a Pisces about this time in September? You can shoot me message in discord if you would, thanks.
